About Cooper
Expert Analysis
Bret Swanson | Prep Hoops Scout
Kowalski is a very deceptive athlete around the baseline area. Cooper has developed some perimeter skills so that can step-out and knockdown some jumpers from time to time. He runs the floor very well like a guard at times and shows to have very good length.
He plays very active in the passing lanes and seems to be quick leaper on the floor. Cooper was a nice addition to the Hurricanes roster a year ago after coming over from nearby Stratford HS.

Kowalski might be the most raw of the stand-out bigs from the Phenom Hardwood Classic, but he showed flashes of his potential all weekend long. Cooper had a big game against Run the Citi – who had much higher rated and athletic big men – on Saturday Morning. He finished with 20 Points and 9 Rebounds in a 5 point loss, but showed an ability to create for himself off the dribble and step out and hit jump shots. Kowalski received his first offer from Catawba College following his top performances on Saturday.

Kowalski is making the trip to downtown Charleston now to play for the hurricanes. Cooper a Stradford HS transfer caught our attention last season at the District 9 Holiday Tourney in Manning.
Cooper is a deceptive athlete who still must finish better through contact. He does a good job of filling the lane in transition and running the floor.
