10 games into the season Jefferson is averaging just over 13 points per game, 4 assists, 3 rebounds, and 4 steals. In most games, Jefferson is Benedictine’s primary ball handler, looking to assist his teammates and set them up in transition or in the half-court. “I’m always in attack mode. I’m a slasher, I get to the hole, I can shoot pull-up jumpers, and if teams give me an open look I can knock down 3’s.”
Jefferson played with the Ohio Basketball Club Classic Impressions AAU team this summer. “I did well this summer. I averaged 15 points, 6 assists, 4 steals.” This off-season Chris said he worked mostly on his jump shot. “I got in the gym with Coach Kirincic and Coach Urban for many workouts. I also worked out with my high school coaches Rob Stircula and Mike Stircula. We worked on really creating shots for me off the ball and my ball handling and finishing with contact.”
Going into his junior season, Jefferson says his goals are to go the rest of the season without any losses, keep his free throw percentage around 70%. “The rest of the accolades will come with just doing the little things,” said Jefferson.
