While being one of the best SG in the country he can obviously knock down those long jumpers. He is great at keeping the ball high and his mechanics are great. He gets a lot of defenders running him off the three-point line and he can side step and nail the three and he is impressive and elite in mid-range relocation shots. Rody can go left or right on those relocation jumpers as with his side step threes. When he is handling in the pick n’roll he can carve himself into lanes and create openings for himself and others. his ability to elevate increases his vision to pass late or finish himself. Super bouncy going right or left and he finishes with either hand above and at the rim. He is fun to watch at the mid-range as he can stop pop on a turn or pick teams apart. When his teammates are in the slot he can pop out and really spread the floor. Take a look at his footwork because it is elite as he can catch and shoot without moving his feet or he can reach and gather on shots when he goes and gets the ball of passes. Rody has committed early to Ohio State and it is apparent why he is a top recruit in the country.
6’4 G Collin Chandler Collin Chandler 6'5" | CG Farmington | 2022 State #28 Nation UT | Farmington High School | 2022 | Utah Prospects
Let’s start off with his shooting. He has improved his long ball shooting over the past few years and you can see that he has worked on his footwork. His game is so fluid now that you might not know when he will pull up or how deep he is willing to shoot the ball. Collin can hit those top of the arc three’s and all the way down into the corners. When he is in the corner, he is thought on defend because he can jab himself open for a three or a mid-range jumper, but he is more dangerous when teams force him baseline and he jabs himself open for a lane where he will throw it down one or two handed. his change of speed and long strides really enables him to get in the lane and float to the rim. Collin can spin the ball with either hand and get those tough contested lays to fall. His decision making is quick especially when he feels himself open beyond the arc. With offers from Utah, Stanford and Dixie State he is a sought-after player who has major upside, especially as a three-level scorer.
6’4 W David Katoa David Katoa 6'4" | CG Layton | 2024 State #255 Nation UT | RSL Academy | 2023 | Utah Prospects
David is young but he has that “It” in his motor and skill. He is that ideal slasher that can hurt you inside and out. His mid-range is developing but he is great attacking the rim on the right or left side of the basket. He has that quick first step going either way. David runs the floor very well and he can catch and shoot on the run. Has a developing one-two dribble pull-up from deep. Impressed with his ability to turn the corner off of a pick. He can push down-hill but cross over and finish on the other side. David is going to be a great prospect to watch moving forward that has that 3-level scoring ability. His athletic pedigree is so high that he holds a football offer from Utah University.
