The matchup between the Olympia Titans (8-2) and the Windermere Wolverines (9-3) was one of the most anticipated matchups in the Orlando-area on Friday night. The game was played alongside another exciting match-up between Dr. Phillips and Apopka, which ended with a 60-57 win for Dr. Phillips. These two teams are among the best in the area and this matchup was one to be remembered.

The first quarter was a scary sight to see for the Titans. 6’8" sophomore forward [player_tooltip player_id="709255" first="Sean" last="Stewart"] was quick to exploit the height difference between himself and the Titans and was eating on the inside. He couldn’t be stopped in the low post and Olympia quickly found themselves in a 21-3 hole early. Stewart finished with 11 points in the first quarter and gave the Wolverines a 24-11 lead after the first quarter.

[player_tooltip player_id="818648" first="Trey" last="Moss"], Windermere’s star guard and USF commit, also balled out in the first half. He was automatic from downtown and managed to leave the Olympia defense stunned. He was pulling up from wherever and could not miss. The Wolverines came out of the half with a dominant 49-23 lead behind 13 for Stewart and 16 for Moss.

The third quarter looked like a bit of a bounce back for the Titans, mostly thanks to [player_tooltip player_id="1069191" first="Jacari" last="White"] and his jumper finally connecting. The guard showed off his three-point expertise after missing all but one jumper in the first half. He knocked down 3 triples in the quarter and gave the advantage to Olympia in the early going. However, a continual shooting barrage from Windermere led by Moss and teammate [player_tooltip player_id="714790" first="Kanye" last="Jones"] kept the Wolverines in it, and the Titans ended up only outscoring them by a single point in the 3rd.

The fourth quarter was mostly garbage minutes for both teams. The Titans made a quick run attempt led by [player_tooltip player_id="812627" first="Edgerrin" last="James Jr."]’s 9 points, but couldn’t close the gap in time. The Wolverines walked out with an impressive 85-63 win. [player_tooltip player_id="818648" first="Trey" last="Moss"] led all scorers with 26, and [player_tooltip player_id="709255" first="Sean" last="Stewart"] added 17 for the Wolverines. [player_tooltip player_id="1069191" first="Jacari" last="White"] led the Titans with 19 and [player_tooltip player_id="812627" first="Edgerrin" last="James Jr."] added 18.
