Team Forsyth & East Forsyth HS Senior Jalen Thorns is an extremely athletic player that made plays above the rim on both ends of the floor. It doesn’t take long for him to catch your attention as he is a 6’4 Guard with a long wingspan. Not only is he dangerous with the ball but he’s productive off the ball and does a nice job of crashing the boards.
Team Stokes/Surry & Mount Airy HS Junior Zeb Stroup played with one of the highest motors that we saw all day. Battling for rebounds, chasing down shots for blocks, taking charges, basically whatever his team needed he provided.
Team Stokes/Surry & Mount Airy HS Junior Brooks Sizemore Brooks Sizemore 5'10" | SG Mount Airy | 2022 State NC is not the most vocal player on the court but he definitely gets after it on both ends of the court. Does a nice job of find teammates as well as getting his own offense. Plays the game with a good amount of confidence, displayed a nice shooting stroke from deep.
Rockinghan/Alamance/Cashwell & Dalton L Mcmichael HS Senior Michael Lyons had a solid overall showing, he has a nice blend of upper body strength as well as skillset. Won’t necessarily wow you with what he can do but overall he’s consistently productive.
Team Davie/Yadkin & Starmount HS Junior Xavier King was one of the younger players in attendance but he didn’t let that hold him back from showing his talent. He has an advanced IQ for the game and understands how to score the ball effectively over taller defenders. You won’t see him sped up too often and he already understands how to attack at good angles which forces defenders into bas positioning and fouls.
