Mark Rucha | Richland
Rucha’s shooting placed him on my radar this summer, and it’s keeping him here this season. His three point shooting spaces the floor and with a keen sense for finding shooting pockets in the defense. This summer the two-year varsity letterman showed diversity in his scoring.
Drew Steffe Drew Steffe 6'6" | PG Frisco Memorial | 2023 State #122 Nation TX | Frisco Memorial
Steffe didn’t have his best shooting night, but it’s the way he got his shots that put him on this list. The 6-5 has excellent footwork whether shooting off the dribble or the catch. He’s a versatile scorer, and the bag will only get deeper as he progresses. The sophomore also showcased his passing with 7 assists later in the week.
Trenton Walters Trenton Walters 5'6" | PG La Lumiere | 2023 IN | Liberty Frisco
Walters pushes the pace as the Red Hawk’s super quick lead guard. He’s one of the fastest players with the ball in his hands in the Texas 2023 class. A self-sustained 8 point run in the fourth quarter helped Walters score 17 points and ice Liberty’s first game of the season.
Addison Harmon Addison Harmon 6'2" | PG Prosper | 2023 TX | Prosper
Harmon is a shot creator that can get to his pull up jumper. The 6-2 guard’s pull up three in transitioned highlighted his 12 point game.
Dean Balo Dean Balo 6'3" | SG J.J. Pearce | 2023 State TX | Richardson Pearce
Balo used his balanced scoring attack to score double figures before the first quarter ended. He finds ways to score within the offense, keeping his scoring exploits to two dribbles.
