Sonny Wilson Sonny Wilson 6'0" | PG UD Jesuit | 2023 State #189 Nation MI (2023, CG, UD Jesuit)
Wilson stated “The work I been putting in isn’t just for nothing” and it showed Wednesday. His shooting was very good. He did very well with his dribble drives and floaters off the backboard. He showed leadership. He played good defense. The sky is the limit.
Phil Ragan lll (2022, PG, UD Jesuit)
I really like the smooth game this lefty had. He does the little things that equals out to the team having success. He has a sweet shot that always looks like it is going in. What he showed me Wednesday is how tough he is. Bright future.
Zavier Banks Zavier Banks 6'6" | SF University Of Detroit Jesuit | 2023 State MI (2023, SF, UD Jesuit)
Banks battled the entire game in the paint despite being outsized. He is a talented player who is only going to get better as he matures and gets stronger.
Charles Turner Charles Turner 6'5" | CG University Of Detroit Jesuit And Academy | 2022 State MI (2022, CG, UD Jesuit)
Turner is a very talented offensive player but Wednesday because his team was shorthanded he showed his willingness and toughness by battling in the paint. This is what coaches like to see.
Ethan Treharne (2021, SG, UD Jesuit)
Treharne is a glue player and he showed it on Wednesday. He played a solid floor game and fearless on his dribble penetration. He plays baseball also.
Pierre Brooks Pierre Brooks 6'5" | SG Detroit Douglass | 2021 State #76 Nation MI (2021, SG, Frederick Douglass Academy)
Dominant performance. Dribble drives, step backs, one leg fade aways, midrange jumpers, three point shots, rim rattling dunks. He did what he wanted to do.
Javantae Randle Javantae Randle 6'9" | PF Detroit Frederick Douglass | 2021 State MI (2021, PF, Frederick Douglass Academy)
Randle had a dominant performance. He was rebounding well offensively and defensively and blocking shots. He was drop stepping for layups in traffic, and spinning in the lane for jump hooks. What I like was seeing him hit a couple of threes. Even though he plays center now I can see him being an excellent stretch four. He is rapidly improving.
Franklin Ezeoke (2022, PF, Frederick Douglass Academy)
Ezeoke showed he is a tough hard nose basketball player He was a rebounding machine and I liked the hard nose defense that he played. He scored inside and on put backs. He is definitely a player to watch.
DaMonn Tiggs (2021 SG, Frederick Douglass Academy)
Tiggs stepped up big time Wednesday. He has a nice offensive game and he works hard on defense also. He is going to make some noise this coming season.
