Up from No. 164: Speedy playmaker that balances scoring with facilitating. Uses his floater in traffic. Does a good job hitting his spots in the mid-range and can stretch out the defense to the three-point line. Sees the floor very well.

Tyler Hughes has really sprung onto the scene this spring, leading the GA Stunners to several impressive wins. Hughes is an ultra-quick point guard, able to create instant offense with his dribble. He can score at all three levels, a mid-range jumper that has been killing defenses. It looks as if Hughes is transferring into South Paulding where he’ll play alongside his GA Stunners running mate, Andrew Lavigne.

was one of the very best point guards at the A-Town Showdown. You could count on the playmaker to create offense in a variety of ways. Tyler loved getting to his floater once he turned the corner but what really stood out was his court vision. He’s a talented passer that makes others around him better.

has been on a tear through the first few weeks of the spring and I expect much of the same this weekend, playing in his home gym. Hughes is a small but shifty guard that can create off the dribble and get to his spots. He loves to score from mid-range and hits a ton of pull-up jumpers from 15-20 feet out. Hughes is currently rising in stock and I expect a big step forward at New Manchester next year.
