Continue ReadingCJ Brown CJ Brown 6’2″ | PG Kell | 2024 State #150 Nation GA has been tearing up the spring circuit, highlight after highlight. Brown has as much bounce as any point guard I’ve seen in this class and won’t hesitate to rise up and punch it in traffic. Brown is more than just an athlete though, he’s got polished guard skills, good vision, and can really defend too. With Peyton Marshall Peyton Marshall 7’0″ | C Overtime Elite | 2024 State GA and Jeremiah Wilkinson Jeremiah Wilkinson 6’0″ | PG TSF | 2024 State #218 Nation GA re-opening their recruitment, this Game Elite squad is a must-see for college coaches.
Fit and usage are often a concern for many when choosing an AAU team and things couldn’t have worked out better for Laz Mason. He’s emerged as a primary playmaker for the Canes and has been able to show what he can do as the point guard, something we didn’t see enough at Grayson. Mason is a twitchy ball-handler that can dissect defenses and kill teams from inside-out when he gets in the paint. He’s a name that coaches should be writing down for the next live periods.
Highlights
Carter Watkins
Carter Watkins
Carter Watkins is coming off a great junior year at first-year high school, Seckinger, but didn’t get the kind of attention he deserved. Now running with HoopAtlanta, Watkins is opening eyes. He can play either guard spot, defends at a high level, and does all the little things to win games. Watkins is going to find his points in the flow of the game and he doesn’t take many bad shots. When you also consider his 3.9 GPA, there should be a plethora of high-academic programs looking into Watkins.
Tyler Hughes has really sprung onto the scene this spring, leading the GA Stunners to several impressive wins. Hughes is an ultra-quick point guard, able to create instant offense with his dribble. He can score at all three levels, a mid-range jumper that has been killing defenses. It looks as if Hughes is transferring into South Paulding where he’ll play alongside his GA Stunners running mate, Andrew Lavigne.
Roc Lee Roc Lee 6’6″ | CG GA bounced around for most of the high school season but the spring has given us the chance to see him consistently with Team Dickerson. Lee is a big-athletic guard that loves to get out in transition and finish above the rim. At 6’6, Lee can guard any position and has a ton of potential on that end of the floor. He’s shown some encouraging consistency on his three-ball this spring and has all the talent to take him where he wants to go. Florida State offered him after the first live period in April.
