After our series of articles on the Class of 2021 who should be valued, we now shift our attention to those in the Class of 2022 and those that need to be on the radar of college coaches.
We will continue to go through each conference to try and hit as many players as possible with the hopes of helping these juniors the attention of prospective college coaches.
Maddox Griffin Maddox Griffin 6'1" | PG Wapello | 2022 State IA – Wapello
Wapello flirted with a winning record in 2019-20, and Class of 2022 prospect Maddox Griffin Maddox Griffin 6'1" | PG Wapello | 2022 State IA will look to get them there this season.
Griffin led the team at 16.2 points per game a year ago, shooting 45 percent from the field and 71 percent from the charity stripe.
He finished with 324 points, adding 129 rebounds, 114 assists, 75 steals and 12 blocked shots.
Noah Miller Noah Miller 5'11" | CG Forest City | 2021 State IA – Hillcrest Academy
Hillcrest Academy will look to Noah Miller Noah Miller 5'11" | CG Forest City | 2021 State IA to help replace the production lost through graduation.
As a sophomore, Miller accounted for 113 points with 42 assists, 33 rebounds and 30 steals. He shot almost 37 percent from the floor and knocked down 74 percent of his free throws.
Ty Carr Ty Carr 5'11" | PG Danville | 2022 State IA – Danville
Danville returns a strong nucleus led by Class of 2022 guard Ty Carr Ty Carr 5'11" | PG Danville | 2022 State IA .
Carr scored 334 points last year, knocking down 40 percent of his shots including 29 three-pointers. He was also exceptional at the free throw line, sinking 109 of 130 attempts.
Along with his scoring, Carr also produced 92 assists to lead the team and 57 steals, adding 72 rebounds.
Griffin Greiner Griffin Greiner 6'1" | CG Cardinal | 2022 State IA – Cardinal
The next two seasons should be exciting ones around the Cardinal program as the Class of 2022 is a key one.
Griffin Greiner Griffin Greiner 6'1" | CG Cardinal | 2022 State IA posted 312 points with 112 rebounds, 80 assists and 72 steals as a sophomore. He led the Comets to 10 wins and was tops on the team points, rebounds and assists.
From the field, Greiner shot almost 45 percent and he was also a 30-percent three-point shooter.
Landon Becker Landon Becker 6'1" | SG Cardinal | 2022 State IA – Cardinal
Another key piece to the puzzle for Cardinal is Landon Becker Landon Becker 6'1" | SG Cardinal | 2022 State IA , another Class of 2022 guard.
Becker scored 309 points last year, just three behind leader Griffin Greiner Griffin Greiner 6'1" | CG Cardinal | 2022 State IA . He also added 85 rebounds, 34 steals and 30 assists.
Along with making a team-high 51 three-pointers, Becker also shot 37 percent from the field and knocked down 71 percent of his free throws.
