After our series of articles on the Class of 2021 who should be valued, we now shift our attention to those in the Class of 2022 and those that need to be on the radar of college coaches.
We will continue to go through each conference to try and hit as many players as possible with the hopes of helping these juniors the attention of prospective college coaches.
Ashton Hermann Ashton Hermann 6'4" | SG Ballard | 2022 State IA – Ballard
There is plenty of reasons to think Ballard will be back contending for a Class 3A state title next year. The Bombers, who went 19-8 and finished fourth last winter, return the likes of Ashton Hermann Ashton Hermann 6'4" | SG Ballard | 2022 State IA to the fold.
Hermann, a Class of 2022 prospect, scored 425 points with 53 made three-pointers. He shot over 48 percent from the field and also pulled in 94 rebounds while dishing out 56 assists and recording 76 steals.
Kaleb Booth Kaleb Booth 6'1" | SG Carroll | 2022 State IA – Carroll
Carroll will be looking for even more production out of Class of 2022’s Kaleb Booth Kaleb Booth 6'1" | SG Carroll | 2022 State IA .
Booth scored 220 points a year ago, adding 53 rebounds, 37 steals and 33 assists. He shot over 53 percent from the floor and 53 percent from the three-point line, burying 43 triples in all.
Also, Booth was excellent at the free throw line, sinking 31 of 35 attempts for the Tigers.
Dawson Forgy Dawson Forgy 5'11" | PG Winterset | 2022 State IA – Winterset
Not only did Dawson Forgy Dawson Forgy 5'11" | PG Winterset | 2022 State IA from Winterset score 211 points in 23 games, but he dished out an incredible 154 assists.
Forgy, a Class of 2022 prospect, had nearly a 3-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio. He also added 44 rebounds and 43 steals to his campaign on the hardwood, shooting 51 percent from the field with 23 made three-pointers.
Tyson Guard – Carlisle
Carlisle will look to build off its eight-win season a year ago after recording 178 points, 74 assists, 50 rebounds and 32 steals a year ago.
Guard, who made 23 three-pointers and knocked down 71 percent of his free throws, is the main returning starter back after four seniors graduated.
Kale Krogh Kale Krogh 6'6" | C Ballard | 2022 State IA – Ballard
Ashton Hermann Ashton Hermann 6'4" | SG Ballard | 2022 State IA isn’t the only member of the Class of 2022 set to lead Ballard into the next season, as Kale Krogh Kale Krogh 6'6" | C Ballard | 2022 State IA is also a returning starter.
Krogh scored 185 points on 61 percent shooting last year, adding 157 rebounds and 53 blocks. Both of those led the Bombers, as he also had 16 steals and 16 assists.
