After our series of articles on the Class of 2021 who should be valued, we now shift our attention to those in the Class of 2022 and those that need to be on the radar of college coaches.
We will continue to go through each conference to try and hit as many players as possible with the hopes of helping these juniors the attention of prospective college coaches.
Drake Wemark Drake Wemark 6'3" | SF New Hampton | 2022 State IA – New Hampton
As a sophomore, all New Hampton’s Drake Wemark Drake Wemark 6'3" | SF New Hampton | 2022 State IA did was leading the team in scoring and rebounding, averaging 17 points and five boards a night.
Wemark finished the year with 340 points, shooting almost 43 percent from the field and 71 percent at the free throw line. He also knocked down 10 three-pointers for the Chickasaws.
Wemark added in 59 steals, 50 assists and 16 blocks.
Hogan Hansen Hogan Hansen 6'3" | SF Waverly-Shell Rock | 2022 State IA – Waverly-Shell Rock
Waverly-Shell Rock will return its leading scorer in Class of 2022 prospect Hogan Hansen Hogan Hansen 6'3" | SF Waverly-Shell Rock | 2022 State IA .
Hansen scored 15.5 points per game, while also leading the Go-Hawks with four assists a night. He tallied 340 points, shooting over 38 percent from both the field and three-point line.
To go along with his scoring, Hansen also had 89 total assists, 125 rebounds and 31 steals. He made a team-leading 49 triples.
Braden Hemann – Waukon
Waukon’s path up the Northeast Iowa Conference standings will go through its young players including Class of 2022’s Braden Hemann.
Hemann led the team in rebounding, averaging over eight per game. He also scored 12.5 points a night, shooting 36 percent from the field.
He knocked down 43 three-pointers and finished with 276 points, 179 rebounds, 58 assists, 20 steals and 20 blocks.
Joseph Bockman – Decorah
Joseph Bockman from Decorah put up a solid sophomore campaign, scoring 180 points with 61 rebounds, 49 assists and 38 steals.
Bockman shot 34 percent from the field, made 19 three-pointers and sank 71 percent of his free throw attempts.
Keaton Farmer Keaton Farmer 6'2" | CG Waverly-Shell Rock | 2022 State IA – Waverly-Shell Rock
Joining Hogan Hansen Hogan Hansen 6'3" | SF Waverly-Shell Rock | 2022 State IA is classmate Keaton Farmer Keaton Farmer 6'2" | CG Waverly-Shell Rock | 2022 State IA .
Farmer recorded 227 points on 39 percent shooting from the field, sinking 31 three-pointers. He also had 65 rebounds, 26 steals and 19 assists for the Go-Hawks, who made 125 triples as a team.
