The Jersey Force scrimmages was full of strong lead guards with some of them making an impact right away. Here are the top point guards from the Jersey Force scrimmages.
Marcus Pierce Marcus Pierce 6'1" | CG Compass Prep | 2022 State NJ , 6’1 Jersey Force Select (St. Joseph Hammonton) 2021
Pierce was stellar in both scrimmages as he was one of the top players during the day. The 6’1 guard was in attack mode from the beginning and did not take a play off. Pierce was unstoppable off the bounce and was constantly finishing around the basket. He made several layups through contact and showed off a nice stroke on his jumper. Pierce’s ability to attack the basket makes him a strong option for the Jersey Force Select team.
Sam Fagan Sam Fagan 5'10" | PG Neptune | 2021 State NJ , 5’10 Jersey Force Elite (Neptune) 2021
Fagan had a strong showing in both games as he proved why he is going to be playing Division I ball next season. The Monmouth commit shot the ball with extreme confidence, making a couple of NBA-range three-pointers. Fagan handled the ball well in transition and did not force the issue in the halfcourt. His passing was on point as he made several beautiful passes in the games. Fagan is a skilled lead guard who should continue to have a strong summer season for Jersey Force Elite.
Colin Ackerman Colin Ackerman 6'0" | PG Wall | 2022 State NJ , 6’0 Jersey Shore Predators (Wall) 2022
Ackerman had a solid performance at the scrimmages as he ran the show for the Predators. The 6’0 guard was decisive with the ball in his hands and did not make many mistakes. Ackerman was able to beat his man off the dribble and made plays when he got into the lane. He made good passes throughout the course of the day and played solid defense. Ackerman is a tough guard prospect who is the right guy to run the Predators’ offense.
Devin Benson Devin Benson 6'0" | SG Camden | 2021 State NJ , 6’0 Olympus (Camden) 2021
Benson also played off the ball during the scrimmages, but that did not take away from his performance. The 6’0 lefty has a nice release on his shot and does not need a lot of space to get it off. Benson played pesky on-ball defense and has really quick hands. He has a good handle and made good decisions with the ball in his hands. Benson is a gritty guard prospect who helps the Olympus offense run smoothly.
Ryan Curry Ryan Curry 6'0" | PG Montgomery | 2022 State NJ , 6’0 Jersey Force 16U (Montgomery) 2022
Curry ran the show for the Jersey Force 16U team and proved why he is one of the more under the radar guys in the 2022 class. The 6’0 guard is extremely unselfish as he gave up several layups in transition to teammates running the floor. Curry made some tough passes throughout the day and used his handle to get away from his defender. He even showed off his athleticism in warmups when he threw down a dunk in layup lines. Curry is a true point guard who helps the Jersey Force 16U play efficiently.
