Struckmann, Cisse, Frazier Commit — Area Recruiting Update

Recruiting continues to move fast around the region, with more offers being extended and players making commitments. I'll give you a quick update on three big names who appear to have found their home at the next level, along with a couple of others who have recently received offers.   [player_tooltip player_id='2334910' first='Sekou' last='Cisse'] | 6'9" Forward | Principia   The coveted big from Principia is officially off the board, as Sekou has committed to Southern Illinois. There's a lot to like about his game, with the size and strength to play immediately at the next level and the type of skill set that should translate well. This summer, he was effective around the rim, establishing deep position and rebounding the basketball at a high rate. His ability to play with pace and get up and down the floor with good mobility should also allow him to find early success with the Salukis. But first things first, he's primed for another big year with a loaded Principia team that has a legitimate shot at being one of the top teams in the country.   [player_tooltip player_id='2344218' first='Nolan' last='Struckmann'] | 6'8" Forward | St. Dominic   One of the quicker risers in terms of recruiting stock in the state, Nolan saw a number of offers come his way this summer and has decided that Northwest Missouri State is where he'll land. While he has the measurables, and specifically the length, to find success at the Division II level, it was the growth he showed this summer with his skill set, particularly offensively, that stood out. He displayed a much more developed scoring package, whether it was perimeter shooting, operating in the mid-range, or facing up and attacking off the bounce. Add in his ability to defend multiple positions and provide shot-blocking as a rotational defender, and you can see the makings of a guy who could make an immediate impact at the next level.   [player_tooltip player_id='2334950' first='Tyran' last='Frazier'] | 6'10" Forward | Principia   Another Principia name, Frazier has committed to Virginia Tech. While Tyran had plenty of programs pursuing him this summer, he ultimately decided that the Hokies were the right fit. Frazier really popped this summer playing with Principia as a long, athletic forward who is capable of stretching the floor and playing well in space. He also showed the ability to use his length as a consistent lob threat around the rim, while providing real value as a shot blocker and transition player on both ends. Playing his final high school season at Principia should help propel him to the next level and put him in a great position for continued development and growth.   [player_tooltip player_id='3693973' first='Kyler' last='Woodall'] | 5'10" Guard | Rose Hill   Woodall, who I've covered extensively this summer and fall from a recruiting standpoint, has picked up another offer, this time from Southwestern in Kansas. The momentum he built this summer looks like it's going to carry right through the fall and into the winter months.   [player_tooltip player_id='2623092' first='Dailan' last='Holman'] | 6'3" Wing | Shawnee Mission North   Holman has picked up an offer from Rockhurst. He made massive strides this summer, showing that he can provide two-way value as a true wing prospect who is at his best as both a strong defender and slasher. As his game continues to develop, there could be more Division II programs reaching out in the near future.
