High School Spotlight: Tecumseh Braves

The High School Spotlight Series is back and we are excited to feature multiple teams throughout the state once again! The season is still a few months away, but it is never too early to look ahead at the high school season. We will be taking a look at some quick hitters, the top player(s), a potential breakout player, other roster members, and more for the upcoming season. For today's spotlight, we take a look at the Tecumseh Braves.

Quick Hitters

Went 10-13 last season.

Lost to Wood Memorial in Sectionals.

Head Coach Kreig Oxley starts his 6th year as head coach. They return quite a bit of production and will once again be led by senior guard [player_tooltip player_id='2882777' first='Damon' last='Oxley']. Oxley is one of the better under-the-radar players we have in the southern Indiana area, as he is a point guard who consistently makes winning plays with the ball in his hands. Just a really balanced offensive player who will help carry the Braves to multiple wins this season.

Potential Breakout Player: [player_tooltip player_id='3472788' first='Logan' last='Wilson']

Not only does Tecumseh have a great point guard in [player_tooltip player_id='2882777' first='Damon' last='Oxley'], but they also have some size in the frontcourt, and that is always an advantage in Class 1A. The 6'6" forward/center [player_tooltip player_id='3472788' first='Logan' last='Wilson'] is back for the Braves to be the guy in the frontcourt this season. He is a double-double threat every time he steps on the floor and has shown improved aggression and skill. This is a big season coming up for him.

Other Key Roster Members

[player_tooltip player_id='2989747' first='Maddux' last='Miller']

[player_tooltip player_id='3343955' first='Dax' last='Kramer']

[player_tooltip player_id='3429553' first='Waylon' last='Riddle']

[player_tooltip player_id='3438759' first='Brody' last='Deal']

[player_tooltip player_id='3476215' first='Titus' last='Smith']

Mac Grimes
