The tallest player in the 2028 national rankings, Betts size gives him a different dynamic than many of the other talented center's in the 2028 class. I'm very high on Betts rim protection as there were some EYBL games where he swatted two and three shots in a single possession. Betts will need to add weight to his frame but he's clearly been working on his body and has gotten stronger year over year since he arrived on the scene. With his defensive upside and offensive potential as a screen setter and rim runner, Betts to me was an easy choice to remain in the top 10 of our rankings.

Lusakueno was the number one overall prospect on some lists when they first released and while he's slipped out of the top 10 at some spots, I still have a lot of stock from the talented Atlanta based wing forward. A long athlete, Lusakueno can shoot over smaller defenders and provides floor spacing with his high release. Lusakueno had a strong summer with Team CP3 16 U, being named to the first team EYBL 16 U team. Lusakueno has gone north of his home for recent visits to Iowa, Illinois, Tennessee and Vanderbilt. Other recent offers include Louisville, Alabama, USC and more. I wouldn't be surprised if Luskaueno plays his way back into the top 10 of other national rankings lists by the end of the year.

A prospect I'm a little on an island having in the top 10, Okoth is viewed more as a top 15-25 prospect on other websites. I'm a little higher on his long term potential due to his floor as one of the best defenders and rebounds from the wing in the class. The energy and athleticism Okoth plays with is so easy to fall in love with when you watch him play. Okoth also could take another leap with continued ball handling and perimeter shooting development, two areas I expect him to improve at before he reaches the college level. With Okoth and Erick Dampier Jr playing together on Alabama Fusion the past two summers on the EYBL circuit, they've formed arguably the top grassroots duo in the 2028 class.

The second CP3 16 U star in this article, Collins stays in our top 10 as his athleticism, versatility and two-way impact is among the best in the 2028 class. Collins just checks a lot of boxes that you'd look for with a wing prospect who is in talks to go to a blue blood program and potentially be a one and done college player. Collins has stayed at his hometown high school program and continued to get better each year and still gets the opportunity to play the best of the best on the EYBL each summer. Recent offers for Collins include programs like Arizona, VCU, Miami (FL) while many other programs have been recruiting him long before this summer as well.

Sheppard has been one of the top 2028 prospects nationally since the class first arrived on the high school scene and he's continued to improve his game. Sheppard had a dominant performance for Crossroads in Border League action Vs Iowa United last week, finishing with 26 points on 9/14 from the field, 3/6 from 3-point range and a perfect 5/5 from the charity stripe. Sheppard did a lot more than just score with seven rebounds, eight assists and seven defensive stocks. That shows the type of player he is as Sheppard is skilled with the ball in his hands, efficient and a high motor defender. If Sheppard has performances like that consistently he might be too low at number 10 in our national rankings right now.
