(WI) Sophomore ID: Camp Standouts

With the high school season quickly approaching, the Wisconsin Sophomore ID Camp brought together an impressive collection of the state's top 2029 prospects under one roof at the Community First Champion Center. The event showcased a deep pool of emerging talent, highlighted by dynamic floor generals, high-flying transition threats, and versatile wing scorers.    Schulz comes to camp after playing his freshman year at Marquette. He found his rhythm early and displayed his tight handle with the ball in his hands. Schulz consistently got down hill to make a play for himself or a teammate. His patience and poise with the ball was apparent. I was really impressed with his shot mechanics in catch and shoot situations. Keep an eye out for him in the coming season.     Foeckler proved his versatility at Sophomore ID camp. He was prolific in the pick and roll as the handler and as the roller for team 9. He played above the rim finishing on fast breaks and in alley pop situations. This Power 5 prospect has a solid IQ on the floor that allows him to show off his consistent jumpshot. Keep an eye out for him as he continues his Impact with Franklin.     Fischer made it look easy as one of the top prospects at Sophomore ID camp. The Wisconsin Lutheran wing had the ball on a string in transition and in the half court. He brought some flare at the helm and some thunder above the rim. His height and skill created many mismatch situations. Team 1 had a player that could do it all on both ends. His summer with team Herro had him primed to show out in the coming season.     Rathburn competed over the summer with the [program_tooltip program_id='2076033' first='Wisconsin' last='Playmakers']. At camp he was carving out driving lanes with strength and agility. The 6 '2 wing crashed the glass, extending and ending possessions. His unit was able to play fast via his ability to lead and fill lanes in transition. Regis can expect to have a well balanced competitor in the coming season.     Willis came to camp with intent to prove he was a top guard in the state, and that he did. Willis could be seen starting the break and finding teammates in position to score frequently. The Kenosha Indian Trail guard proved to be a fearless driver to the rim. Team 13 flowed at a high level with him out on the floor. His high motor allowed him to work himself open and show off some polished catch and shoot skills. Willis has a quick trigger that opponents had to be aware of throughout the day.     Powers wields a sturdy frame and solid wing skill set. Previously running with [program_tooltip program_id='2076023' first='Wisconsin' last='Academy'] over the summer, he brought an inside out game threat to team 14. He spaced the floor well, and attacked hard close outs as well on the perimeter. He displayed a high IQ with his positioning on the floor and vision when playing in the mid post. I was really impressed with his hands, catching some tough passes while in the dunker. The Columbus product got the most out of each possession.
