Last Sunday the Sophomore ID Camp gave us some new names to know for the future both when the games start, and when we resort the rankings. Who are those players? We give them to you NOW!

Zirnhelt made a great impression at the sophomore camp, the type of impression that will lead to us checking to see when he is playing JV or Varsity this winter and wanting to see his progress. Because this weekend, August was one of the top scoring threats and wing playmaking threats that we saw a the camp. His range of offensive production was quite eye opening and there is potential there to really help the Raiders in upcoming years.

Eli is another player that I believe made a strong impression and I think we could see a big junior year from. The skills look there, has a longer frame, and was consistently productive at the camp. Eli should be a key piece of what Rocori has on the floor next year and we think he can score for them in several ways.

Evan was on the younger teams last year but from what we saw this past weekend Evan plays an active, tough team game that is two way productive. HLWW has three really good starters back and some up and coming youth that will play a part as well. After seeing Evan play we are quite curious if he will be helping the Lakers sooner rather than later.

I can't tell you how much Tartan is going to need for guard help based on what they have coming back but at some point in his career Quasar should be able to find a way on the court in the coming years, at least based on what we saw this weekend at Hopkins. Hill was was one of the steadiest, smartest passers at the event and his ball pressure was strong as well. Quasar played a role and he played it very well.

We haven't said much Houston, Minnesota basketball over the years but based on what Tiden did at this event, we might be in the future. Witt is a 6'3 guard that can play multiple spots and might have been the best player in the event when it comes to making an impact without shooting the ball. Witt has the size, skills and agility to score at the Class A level for sure but it as also good to see he can fit in and play the right way with standout teammates as well.

Wilson is every bit of 6'9 and when he called for the ball on the block players finally got it to him. The guards at this level don't know how to feed the post so they get scared and don't, but when they did, Wilson had his way with the defense on the block. Wilson played a lot like a shorter [player_tooltip player_id='2126108' first='Jack' last='Thelen'] on both ends getting his length to everything. Buffalo is stacked so not sure how much an incoming sophomore will play but if they want to use size, Wilson knows how to help a team with that size.
