Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp | Team 5 Evals

There are many great days across the busy Indiana High School Basketball schedule. However, few compare to our annual Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase and Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp. On Sunday, September 6th at the Noblesville Boys & Girls Club we hosted nearly 250 of the best underclassmen in the state. Over the next couple of weeks we will be posting individual evaluations of every prospect in attendance, highlighting top performers, introducing new names, and much more. Here are the prospect evaluations for Team 5 from the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp.   ***As you can imagine, with nearly 250 prospects, we are bound to miss someone. He is a super tough guard who has strong playmaking skills with the ball in his hands. Using a high on-ball IQ, Schoulberg facilitates well and can also be aggressive when looking to get buckets. He is starting to become one of my favorite under-the-radar guards in southern Indiana.     A player in the backcourt for Team 5 at the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp was Dominic Mosley of 21st Century. He was one of the shorter guards in the gym on Sunday but was also one of the quickest, both on and off the ball. He has some shiftiness to his game and is a guy who benefits from getting out in transition when he can.     Another guard who made up the backcourt of Team 5 at the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp was [player_tooltip player_id='2781353' first='Tandon' last='Buckner']. Coming out of Southwestern (Shelbyville), Buckner was another one of the shorter guards in the gym on Sunday but did some things to stand out despite his size. The big thing for him was finding ways to get open and knocking down outside shots.     Without question, one of the more athletic guards on the roster for Team 5 at the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp was [player_tooltip player_id='3640968' first='Quentin' last='Parker III']. A 5'10" combo guard out of Terre Haute North, Parker made some impressive, athletic plays on the ball while also showing nice court vision. He was easily at his best when he could get out in transition.     There is no doubt that the top prospect on Team 5 — and arguably at the entire Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp — was [player_tooltip player_id='2892383' first='Corey' last='Brown'] out of Gary Lighthouse. This was my first time really getting a chance to see Brown, and almost instantly, I came away super impressed. He already has legit size at 6'7", is a willing rim protector, is explosive around the basket on offense, rebounds at a high level, and can knock down shots from 15 feet and out. [player_tooltip player_id='2892383' first='Corey' last='Brown'] has one of the higher ceilings in the state.     One of the more athletic guards on Team 5 at the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp was [player_tooltip player_id='2957431' first='Kingston' last='May'] out of Park Tudor HS. While he is on the shorter end right now, he played with a dribble-attack mentality throughout the games that I saw. He was aggressive along the baseline, being able to find kick-outs and score in tough situations. I was also impressed with his rebounding ability despite his smaller size, as well as his overall court vision.     A shooting guard who showed some really nice things on the floor for Team 5 at the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp on Sunday was [player_tooltip player_id='3737643' first='Paxton' last='Mahler'] from Homestead HS. Mahler showed one of the best quick bursts from the wing that I saw all day, whether that was on or off the ball. He is a versatile player in many ways offensively and then turns around and competes his tail off on defense.     An under-the-radar guard on Team 5 at the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp on Sunday was [player_tooltip player_id='2958094' first='Titus' last='Wilburn'] of Harrison (West Lafayette) HS. I think by far one of the best plays I saw on the day was when Wilburn got a steal on the defensive end, drove to the free-throw line, and then nailed a smooth mid-range jumper. Not only was the jumper impressive, but his ability to create his own look with the ball in his hands was fun to watch.     Consistently, one of the best players throughout the entire Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp was [player_tooltip player_id='3630037' first='Luke' last='Lisinski'] from Noblesville HS. I saw him early in the 3v3 contest, where he hit multiple threes off the catch with pure smoothness. He continued to show his shot-making ability in the 5v5 portion of the camp as well. He has a long build with some versatility to his game right now.     A player out of Evansville Bosse who brought the physicality for Team 5 was [player_tooltip player_id='3755364' first='Brandon' last='Waller']. One of the more physically built power forwards at the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp, Waller loved playing through contact as well. He was strong around the basket, and although he was not the quickest player on the floor, he made up for it by being physical on both ends.    Player #576 (Working on getting name confirmed) - The player is a shorter guard but also has a strong build with his overall frame. I thought he was at his best on the defensive end, getting his hands involved and even coming away with some steals. He also made a tough floater.
