There is no doubt that the top prospect on Team 5 — and arguably at the entire Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp — was Corey Brown Corey Brown 6'7" | PF/SF Gary Lighthouse | 2029 State IN out of Gary Lighthouse. This was my first time really getting a chance to see Brown, and almost instantly, I came away super impressed. He already has legit size at 6’7″, is a willing rim protector, is explosive around the basket on offense, rebounds at a high level, and can knock down shots from 15 feet and out. There are a lot of reasons to continue to be high on this prospect from Gary Lighthouse High School. Not only does Brown possess impressive physical tools as a strong, 6’7″ center, but he also has impressive athleticism and fluid movements for a young big man his size. There is real upside for him as a two-way rebounder at rim protector. Right now he is very good on the roll, out of the dunker’s spot, and on the rim run. Look for him to continue to be one of the top interior prospects in Indiana’s Class of 2029.

One of the top big men in Indiana’s Class of 2029, Brown is a Top 10 prospect in our current rankings. The 6’7″ center from Gary Lighthouse had a strong summer with Progeny 15u on the UAA Circuit and is set to really experience a breakout sophomore season. He is strong on the block, effective out of the dunker’s spot, and has a lot of upside as a rim protector and rebounder. Indiana’s Class of 2029 is shaping up to be a pretty good one. Brown, a 6’7″ center from Gary Lighthouse High School, has solidified himself as one of the top big men in the class statewide. He had a very strong showing with Progeny UAA 15u over the weekend dominating the paint, cleaning the glass, and consistently protecting the rim. There is a lot of two-way upside to follow with him.

We first had the chance to see Brown play at IU Team Camp in June. The 6’6″ forward stood out the most of anyone on the floor in the game we were watching. Then, upon asking around, we found out that he was an incoming freshman. That immediately got us even more excited. Brown, who attends Gary Lighthouse, is incredibly athletic and fluid for his size. He runs the floor well, is effective on the role, and is versatile defensively. It will be fun to follow his progression in the coming years.
