Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase | Team 4 Evals

There are many great days across the busy Indiana High School Basketball schedule. However, few compare to our annual Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase and Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp. On Sunday, September 6th at the Noblesville Boys & Girls Club we hosted nearly 250 of the best underclassmen in the state. Over the next couple of weeks we will be posting individual evaluations of every prospect in attendance, highlighting top performers, introducing new names, and much more. Here are the prospect evaluations for Team 4 from the Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase.   ***As you can imagine, with nearly 250 prospects, we are bound to miss someone. Energetic lead guard that pushed the tempo and was excellent in space creating open looks for teammates. Was a joy to watch him control the offense.     High IQ guard that looked extremely comfortable today among his peers at the Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase. [player_tooltip player_id='3664519' first='Matteo' last='Mallory'] out of Evansville Mater Dei is a smooth playmaking guard that does a good job balancing his scoring and facilitating. Saw him shoot with confidence and hit a deep three during 5v5.     Wawasee 2030 Guard [player_tooltip player_id='3601356' first='Abram' last='Habegger'] is a high motor guard that made plays on both ends of the floor. Showed his ability to get to the basket where he was a crafty finisher. Also capable of playing both guard positions and where he played with good pace and was an active cutter throughout camp.     Bowman Academy Guard [player_tooltip player_id='3735128' first='Myron' last='Sandifer'] was as impressive of a guard getting downhill that I was able to see today at the Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase. Guard that plays at his own pace and reads defenses well off the dribble creating looks for teammates. Confident scorer in the midrange that shoots it with a soft touch. Also plays with good balance and absorbs contact on his drives.     Really confident shooter out of Carmel that was really fun to watch off the ball. Always moving. Active cutter that was able to get free for open looks on the perimeter as well as finishing plays around the basket off of excellent cuts. High IQ guard that was fun to watch at the Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase.     5'10” Guard out of Jimtown was an energetic prospect that was vocal and versatile on the defensive end of the floor. [player_tooltip player_id='3587076' first='John' last='Jackson Jr.'] was really good defensively with active hands and his aggressiveness in passing lanes as well as on the boards. Offensively he was really good in space and was able to play under control and on balance in the paint.     In a loaded freshman class, particularly for Franklin Community, [player_tooltip player_id='3652968' first='Taqi' last='Robinson'] showed some real skill to go along with his length and athleticism. He's a versatile defender that showed he can make an impact on or off the ball. Good rebounder that was able to push in transition and was electric getting downhill finishing around the basket.     North Central-Farmersburg Guard [player_tooltip player_id='3584046' first='Elijah' last='Carter'] was a steady presence for his team all camp long. Energetic, high motor guard that has good size and rebounds at a really high level for his position. Comfortable on or off the ball, but was really good with timely cuts and finished well around the basket.     Washington Hatchets 2030 Guard [player_tooltip player_id='3726763' first='Beckham' last='Gilley'] showed his overall skill in a big way in my first viewing of him at the Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase. Physical frame that played at his own pace and was able to get by his man. Did a good job reading the defenses and not over dribbling on his drives. Showed he can bang down low with his frame and rebound with the best of him. Energetic prospect that is an intriguing piece in Southwest Indiana.     Intriguing Big Man out of Paolo that plays with a high motor on both ends of the floor. [player_tooltip player_id='2869051' first='Owen' last='Sullivan'] is a 6'6” Forward that controls the paint with his length, size, and physicality. He's a fluid athlete that can do a lot of different things on the floor. Really good as the roller in the pick and roll game with good hands and footwork that showed he can score with either hand consistently. Really nice big man prospect that has the chance to impact the varsity game sooner rather than later.
