In the five games played, I can say with confidence that Amari led Team 10 in scoring. He's a big time shot-maker who founds ways of being effective from every level of the basketball court. Amari excelled at getting to the basket, converting mid-range shots and making free-throws. Every time I watch him play, He improves his three-point shooting. Game 3 would be his best! Amari knocked down three shots from behind the three-point line. On most occasions, he took advantage of smaller players in the post with a variety of moves around the basket. He used numerous dribbling moves to free himself for open looks on the perimeter. I watched him score multiple times in this fashion. On defense, he gets into the body of his opponents. Constantly applying pressure with quick hands and excellent timing. Amari is the prototypical shooting guard who made shots and proved he's hard to handle for opposing defenses.

Alex is an excellent ball handler who excels at creating his own shots. He easily drove past defenders, attacked the paint or dished out assists to other teammates. When he decided to take a shot, it usually ended with a lay-up or floater. Alex showed his skills as a shooter throughout the showcase. In isolated situations, he used excellent ball handling moves to free himself for mid-range jumpers. There were some instances where Alex brought the ball up-court, stopped at the three-point line and knocked them down. This showed his prowess as a legitimate threat from behind the three-point line. Alex will continue to grow as an all around player. He already has the ability to be a scorer and play-maker. Imagine how good he could become as his game continues to progress.

Carter is a tough combo guard who's capable of playing both positions at a high level. He's a great facilitator. The majority of his assists were converted into easy points. His teammates were always in the right place, at the right time. When he moved to the shooting guard position, he became an aggressive scorer. He easily beat defenders off the dribble, attacked the basket or scored tough lay-ups in the paint. He's a good ball handler who used a host of dribbling moves to create for himself or others. Carter has an excellent mid-range game. I watched him knock down perimeter shots on numerous occasions. He's a tenacious defender who pressed opponents into committing multiple turnovers. Carter is a promising young player who could become even better in the future.

A shifty combo guard who can do it all on the basketball court. He's an excellent passer and play-maker who found ways to make his teammates better. Juell had the kind of assists that drew reactions from the crowd. The majority of his flashy passes were converted into points. I am confident in saying, Juell was the best play-maker on the court. He's a great ball handler who has no problem getting wherever he wanted on the basketball court. When he had one-on-one match-ups, Juell easily beat opposing defenders off the dribble. He was great at pushing the pace and facilitating. Not only was Juell a great passer, he can also score! He used the dribble to easily attack the basket where he finished with a variety of lay-ups and mid-range pull-ups. Juell was also great at creating space off the dribble and knocking down contested three-pointers. Defensively, he was excellent at pressuring opposing guards into mistakes. I believe Juell has the talent to become an elite player in the near future.

Benji showcased the skills of a great rebounder and scorer. He rebounded the basketball on both ends of the court. Benji attacked the glass with as much ferocity as he did when he looked to score. He's a good ball handler who showed the ability to make the right play. Benji is an excellent passing combo guard who found other teammates in scoring positions. Benji scored in various ways throughout the showcase. He attacked the basket, scored in the post and knocked down mid-range jump-shots. Defensively, he gave maximum effort by staying attached to his opponent. Benji is an excellent scorer and rebounder who has a strong chance of becoming greater in the coming years.

He plays hard, knocks down perimeter shots and rebounds. Princeston did a little of everything on the basketball court. I truly enjoyed watching this young man hustle to be a part of every play on the floor. Whether it was scoring, taking charges or defending, Princeston was a constant threat to make plays. He was great at finishing strong in the paint with lay-ups or floaters. Whenever he had the opportunity to knock down three-pointers, Princeston shot them with complete confidence. He also showed the ability to finish in transition when Team 10 had fast-break opportunities. Princeston works hard on both ends of the basketball court. He excelled at attacking the glass and battling opposing players for rebounds. Defensively, he stayed attached to his opponent and forced a couple of turnovers. Princeston plays the game with the mentality of a winner.

Ethan is an all around team player who does what a team needs to be successful. When he needed to score, Ethan made it happen. If Team 10 had fast-break opportunities, he finished strong at the rim. Ethan was a monster on the glass! He scored the majority of his points by grabbing offensive rebounds. He's a physical player who had no problems battling the opposition in the paint. This young man hustled to make plays all over the court. Ethan is the type of player who takes charges, dives for loose balls and does all the necessary “dirty work.” Whenever a defensive play was needed, Ethan locked down his opponent with tough physical defense. His pressure and timing led to forced turnovers and multiple blocked shots.

Maksim is a player who's skilled in every offensive and defensive category. He's the kind of player who's willing to do all the hustle work for a team. Whether it was scoring, assisting, rebounding or defending, Maksim excelled at making positive plays for Team 10. He's a great rebounder who effectively attacked the glass on both ends of the court. Offensively, he scored in the paint with a variety of crafty moves around the basket. He also knocked down shots from mid-range and finished in transition. On a few occasions, Maksim extended his shooting range beyond the three-point line. On defense, he was physical with the opposition. He guarded them close, poked at the ball and blocked a couple of shots. Maksim is the type of player every coach loves to have. A person who does whatever it takes to help the team be successful.

Garrison's play on the court exemplifies how players should give their all for the team. After watching him play, I grew an appreciation for how much effort he gave in order to win the game. Garrison was great at attacking the basket. This led to him scoring most of his points on dribble drives. He's an excellent shooter who showed the capability of knocking down mid-range shots in spite of being tightly defended. Garrison showed a knack for scoring tough baskets in the paint. On some occasions, he was able to convert three-point play opportunities from the foul-line. When he had the chance to extend his shooting range beyond the three-point line, Garrison knocked them down. His enthusiasm instantly energized his teammates. Defensively, he was all over the court making plays. He blocked shots, took charges and forced numerous turnovers. I believe Garrison has the talent to be a major focal point on the Indianapolis Tech offense this coming season.

After watching the Sophomores play, I believe they are ready to shine during the 2026-27 High School basketball season.
