PH Freshmen Showcase Standouts

Very strong motor. Showed a skilled handle and vision getting teammates involved. Has a good burst of speed to get by defenders when driving the lane. Shot from the perimeter well. Defensively showed to be a good on ball defender who can cover the length of the court. He had one of the highest defensive IQs and just a solid overall feel for the game. Picked his opponents up 94 feet every possession. It only took a couple possessions and a couple steals before opposing offenses started to completely avoid dribbling against Payne. Sees the court at a very high level and was just making play after play. One of the top help defenders in the gym. He crashes the boards with purpose and has incredible breakaway speed in transition. Extremely athletic, finishing with some electric dunks throughout the day. Is very strong and has the ability to battle in the post with bigger forwards. Will bully opposing guards. a three level scoring threat. Incredible athleticism and can jump out of the gym. A talented three level scorer who was putting on a scoring clinic. Displayed and impressive high percentage jump shot. Was just a relentless on the defensive end forcing many turnovers and account for numerous steals. Being a 7 footer with a lengthy wingspan definitely helps. Give the ball to him anywhere near the rim and it's likely to get dunked. Gifted shot blocking ability and plays tough in the post. Showed the ability to advance the ball in transition if needed. Has a strong foundation of fundamentals and an incredibly high ceiling. Right off the tip Hadley jumped with arguably the top prospect at the event and blocked his dunk attempt, sending the ball flying. He did this numerous times throughout the event. In my opinion the top shot blocker at the event. Plays with good physicality. Plays very well off the ball and finds ways to consistently impact the game.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
