High School Spotlight: Hamilton Southeastern Royals

The High School Spotlight Series is back and we are excited to feature multiple teams throughout the state once again! The season is still a few months away, but it is never too early to look ahead at the high school season. We will be taking a look at some quick hitters, the top player(s), a potential breakout player, other roster members, and more for the upcoming season. For today's spotlight, we take a look at the Hamilton Southeastern Royals.

Quick Hitters

Went 15-10 last season.

Lost to Fishers in Sectionals.

Head Coach Bob Allen starts his 2nd year as head coach. This is going to be the first year where pretty much everything starts and ends with Clark for this new-look Royals team. Clark brings back 13.3 points, 4.6 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 1.3 steals per game from last year. A super dynamic guard with D1 interest heading into his junior year.

Potential Breakout Player: [player_tooltip player_id='2956508' first='KJ' last='Buckley']

The HSE Royals are going to have room for multiple guys to step up and take advantage of more opportunities on the floor. A returning sophomore who got some valuable varsity time last season and will be stepping into a primary ball-handler role for them is [player_tooltip player_id='2956508' first='KJ' last='Buckley']. While Buckley is on the shorter end when it comes to the backcourt, he is a talented player with the ball in his hands and a dynamic playmaker. Expect his production to take a big jump this season and for him to be a nice piece next to Clark.

Other Key Roster Members

KD Anthony

AJ Pedersen

Will Blake

[player_tooltip player_id='2540058' first='Jack' last='Modesitt']

Dexmon Moore

[player_tooltip player_id='2470650' first='Alex' last='Weber']

Josj Baker

Hayden Smith

[player_tooltip player_id='2539999' first='Bradley' last='Bode']

[player_tooltip player_id='2859795' first='Luke' last='Powers']
