Freshman Showcase Team 1 and Team 6 Evaluations

Dildy I wrote in the freshman camp preview about gaining confidence on the perimeter shooting the ball and in the 5v5 game Dildy knocked down two 3-pointers, one off the dribble in transition and another spotted up in the corner. Dildy showcased his ability off the ball like I've seen from winter travel ball and spring AAU, and looks a bit quicker and stronger from June. McGrath just exhibits hooper who is ready to play anytime he's on the court from winter travel ball when I watched him lead Eastview to the championship to playing with MN Gold to even showcase events like this. Like I wrote in Dildy's breakdown, McGrath and Dildy pair exceptionally well together playing off one another with their skills passing, driving and shooting from the perimeter. Bain runs the floor, shoots from the perimeter, has solid size and lateral movement ability, and will block a shot or two defensively. Newton has solid size on the perimeter for a guard, especially playing against other freshmen. Jira has the ability to shoot from the perimeter, solid ball handling skills, and looks to make the right passes.
