2026 Westchester Big 64 Saturday Forward Standouts

There was no shortage of size and versatility among the forwards who stood out. From physical combo forwards who did their best work around the basket to bigger wings capable of operating on the perimeter, this group featured a wide range of skill sets. Taking a closer look at some of the 6-foot-4 and up forwards who made an impression.    A skilled and aggressive combo forward, Matthews excels attacking the rim and getting to his spots in the mid-range. He's a good mid-range shooter who understands how to create scoring opportunities for himself, while also bringing value on the glass. He's deceptively athletic and has some rip-and-run ability after securing rebounds. Matthews is capable from three as well, although his passing and overall decision-making still need to become more consistent.     An athletic combo forward who can make an impact on both ends around the rim. At 6-foot-7, Adedeji is a legitimate lob threat who gets off the floor quickly and can provide some rim protection defensively. He's shown intriguing face-up ability, particularly putting the ball on the floor, but remains somewhat caught between the three and four spots. His outside shooting is inconsistent, and both his perimeter skill set and passing will need to continue developing if he's going to transition into more of a full-time wing.     Garner is a rugged 6-foot-4 combo forward who consistently plays bigger than his size. He's a very good finisher around the rim and uses his physicality and toughness to carve out space inside. Garner rebounds both in and out of his area and brings a noticeable edge every time he steps on the floor. He has enough skill to complement his physical approach, and the chip on his shoulder should continue to serve him well.     The Australian wing is an intriguing forward with the ability to operate on the perimeter on both ends of the floor. Bar played with confidence and consistently found ways to create scoring opportunities for himself. His size also allowed him to fill minutes as a true big when needed, something he was more than capable of doing. Long term, continuing to add strength and tightening his handle will be important as he becomes more perimeter-oriented.     The Indiana native caught fire in the second half as Rocktop erased a 20-point deficit before knocking off a short-handed Imhotep team in overtime. At 6-foot-6, Bolden is a versatile combo forward who can be equally effective finishing around the basket or stepping away from it. With Rocktop likely to feature him heavily, he has an opportunity to put together a big final campaign statistically.     Gray consistently finds ways to impact the game without needing to score. At 6-foot-5, he's a strong rebounder and versatile defender who can comfortably match up with twos through fours. He's especially effective on the offensive glass and can grab a rebound and initiate the break himself. His handle becomes less reliable under pressure and his jumper needs to become more consistent, leaving him at his best right now as an undersized four.
