2026 Never Forget Classic Guard Standouts

The Never Forget Classic brought together plenty of talent from across the Northeast, with a number of guards and perimeter players making strong impressions. From established Division I prospects to younger guards continuing to build their résumés, there was no shortage of shot-making and playmaking on display. Here's a closer look at some of the guards who stood out.    A jitterbug lead guard who fits his coach's style of play to a T, Hill wants to get out in transition and thrives as a creator in space. He handles the ball extremely well, changes direction quickly, and consistently finds ways to get to his spots. His quick hands also allow him to make things happen defensively. At 5-foot-9, Hill needs to continue getting stronger and isn't quite an elite shooter yet. Improving his shot selection will also be important, but his speed and ability with the ball give him plenty to work with.     Graham was fantastic against a shorthanded Gill St. Bernard's team in a blowout victory. The big 6-foot-3 lead guard showcased his signature ability to create for his teammates while also making the defense pay as a scorer. The future St. Joseph's Hawk is certainly capable of going and getting a bucket, but it's his willingness and desire to get his teammates involved that makes him particularly valuable. His combination of size, scoring and playmaking allows him to impact the game in a number of ways.     New to Peddie after transferring in from Nottingham (NY), Garang has wasted little time making an impact. An athletic slasher who is already capable of guarding 1-3, Garang is still getting his feet underneath him in his new surroundings. He was impressive defensively, getting his hands on a number of passes, forcing turnovers and turning those opportunities into offense. His athleticism and ability to slash to the rim stood out as well. There's still plenty more to learn about his game, making Garang a player worth keeping tabs on moving forward.     Wanamaker is an interesting shooter with good size who can put points on the board in bunches. He was at his best working without the ball, getting himself open and knocking down catch-and-shoot threes. He needs to get stronger and continue developing as a ball handler, while a more consistent effort defensively would help him make a greater overall impact. Still, the size, IQ and shooting ability are legitimate tools that should allow him to help a college program.     Feamster has been known as one of the top scorers in Philadelphia in his class for the past couple of years and backed that reputation up over the weekend. A rangy scorer, he can knock down shots from deep, create in the mid-range and comfortably operate as a primary offensive option. His scoring punch should be a major weapon for the Panthers this season. Feamster committed to UMass shortly after the event.     Newson shot the ball extremely well from deep against CATS Academy as the Philadelphia power knocked off the Boston-based bunch. He has good positional size, can create his own shot and is capable of providing offense both on and off the ball. Newson's combination of size and shot-making should give him the opportunity to bring a significant scoring punch to the college level.
