SWBC 2026: Eye-Catchers Pt. 2

I attended the 2026 Southwest Basketball Camp at the PHHacility in Phoenix, AZ from August 17-18. Many players dazzled with their performance and athletic abilities. This is part two of covering those who caught my eye at the event, listed in no particular order.    A do-it all scorer who can get a bucket at all three levels against high level competition, taking home the tournament MVP award. He's really developed as a shooter, extending his range and knocking down multiple NBA range threes on pull up attempts. He can get to his spots in the midrange with ease, whether it's through a quick hesitation and burst or working off the pick and roll, he is elite at creating separation for a clean look.     He's a slasher, primarily getting his buckets on drives to the paint, using quick lateral bursts on the dribble to beat his man. Once he's inside he can finish straight up or use a euro step to slide past the last defender. He also reads where to place the ball on his layup attempts to keep defenders at a disadvantage, whether that means rising up through contact or flipping it in on a reverse.     A pure scorer, his crossover game both at the top of the key and the midrange get him excellent separation from defenders, letting him rise into the jump shot he wants or finish at the rim. His quick stutters and in-control ball handling leave defenders a step behind. Sharp passer of the ball with solid court vision, capable of no-look passes and finding the cutter once he works into the paint and the defense collapses on him.     He has an unbelievable handle of the ball and silky smooth movement at his size, with the ability to pull from three off the dribble or drive in for a layup. His combination of size and speed makes him a matchup nightmare, especially once he gets out in transition. Played the game at his own pace, making so many of his buckets look effortless.     Extremely athletic point guard with serious burst who can speed past opponents in transition and capitalize on fast break opportunities. In the halfcourt, he'll make defenders with slow feet pay, breezing past them and working into open space, whether it's for a quick layup or a kickout to a shooter. He also has an impressive vertical leap to help snag rebounds.     Kind of just a do-it-all type of player, putting his fingerprints on every part of the game and making the guys around him better. He can maneuver his way into the paint for easy finishes, and then hit you with the occasional midrange. He hunts offensive boards for put-back opportunities and can often get them due to his strong frame. Good feel for the game and makes a lot of right plays, whether it's help defense or the smart pass, he doesn't force anything.
