put on an offensive master class. He played with tremendous trust in his teammates, showing unselfishness by making the right reads, getting everyone involved, and setting the tone early with his playmaking. Hill proved to be a natural drive-and-kick specialist, swiftly dishing the ball out the moment defenders collapsed in the paint. He scored the ball with remarkable ease, never forcing the action as everything came within the flow of the offense. Hill got to his spots and into the paint without over-dribbling, leading to efficient shot-making throughout the game. He showcased a complete three-level scoring arsenal both in isolation and out of pick-and-roll action. If he saw a lane, he attacked it without hesitation, taking full advantage of every downhill opportunity. Hill also proved to be a fundamentally sound finisher, converting off two feet, exploding for inside-hand layups, and initiating as well as absorbing contact after taking flight. He carried the scoring load and single-handedly outscored the opposing team. Hill also made an outstanding impact on the glass for a point guard, securing rebounds to ignite the transition offense while creating second-chance points with putbacks and tip-ins. His performance drew plenty of attention, as the Big 12 Conference showed up in numbers with programs like Baylor and Kansas State front and center.

provided a few glimpses of what to expect when he returns from injury during the July live period. Long regarded as one of the most athletic players in the gym, Hill showcased extraordinary bounce by throwing down two-handed dunks off two feet in transition and even connecting on an alley-oop that highlighted his potential as a lob threat. Hill possesses rare bounce, upward explosion, and body control that allow him to play well above the rim despite standing just under six feet tall. Hill’s elite combination of lightning-quick speed and jaw-dropping vertical athleticism makes him a constant highlight waiting to happen.

played with high speed and a high motor from the tip, smoothly adapting to the tempo of the game. With full-court defensive pressure applied to him, he was quick to scan the floor and get the ball ahead, creating early scoring opportunities both in the halfcourt and in transition. Madden’s handles were so incredibly precise and pristine that he was able to navigate all sorts of pressure without ever seeming fazed by what was thrown at him. Hill played with strong shot selection, scoring in multiple ways but really impressing with his efficiency off quick shallow cut actions, popping out and ripping by closeouts into one- or two-dribble pull-ups. He also proved to be an elite downhill guard in transition and the halfcourt, displaying remarkable creativity attacking gaps and exploding toward the rim. Late in the fourth quarter, he showcased clutch shot-making ability, knocking down consecutive pull-up threes to shrink the lead and show real fight and determination to win. A remarkable player with very few weaknesses, and he’s only getting better. A well-built point guard with the physique, mindset, and skillset of a high-level prospect. Phenomenal athlete, someone who can run and jump with the best of them no matter what position.

delivered his second 40-point outing of the season, erupting for 42 points in a win over Deer Park. His performance continued to reinforce why he’s steadily emerging as one of the best point guards in Houston regardless of class. Hill has developed a college-ready skill set that allows him to impact the game both on and off the ball, knocking down threes in a variety of actions, such as pindowns, drift downs to the corner off kick-outs, and deep spot-up looks with college range. What separates Hill is his ability to score efficiently with minimal dribbling while consistently operating within the flow of the offense.
