Sophomore ID Camp: Prospects Who Shot Their Way Onto Our Radar

The sophomores came into ID Camp with fire, intensity and something to prove. From the opening tip, this group competed at a high level and played with confidence, letting their games shine possession after possession. There was no shortage of shot making, playmaking, toughness and energy, giving us an exciting look at a sophomore class with plenty of potential.    Bodammer played with a great flow throughout the showcase, letting the game come naturally while consistently making an impact. He shot the ball well and showed confidence when opportunities opened up from the perimeter. Bodammer also showed the ability to attack when defenders closed out, getting downhill and finishing plays at the basket. On the defensive end he brought solid pressure and competed through possessions, making it difficult for opponents to get comfortable. His combination of shooting, defensive effort and ability to make plays off the catch gave him a well rounded performance and made him a fun player to watch     Bodammer made his opportunities count throughout the showcase, especially when he found himself open on the perimeter. He stayed patient, waited for the ball to come his way and was ready to get his shot up quickly when the opportunity arrived. That shot ready mentality gave the offense another reliable option. Bodammer also brought plenty of activity on the defensive end, coming up with steals and turning those takeaways into finishes on the other end. He played with good energy and showed a willingness to impact the game in multiple areas     Sheely gave his team a valuable floor spacing presence throughout the showcase, showing why his shooting can make a difference in an offense. He knocked down shots from three and consistently kept defenders honest, opening driving lanes for teammates. Sheely played with a smart, unselfish approach, making the extra pass and staying within the flow of the offense rather than forcing opportunities. His willingness to do the little things and play for the team stood out. With his shooting ability, basketball IQ and team first mentality, Sheely brought plenty of value every time he stepped on the floor     Armstrong showed plenty of confidence in his shot throughout the showcase especially from three, where he proved capable of making defenses pay. What stood out was how active he was without the ball. Armstrong didn't simply plant himself on the perimeter and wait for opportunities he constantly moved, found openings and used screens to create clean looks. That movement made him tougher to track and kept the defense working every possession. Armstrong's combination of shooting confidence and smart movement gave him a strong offensive presence     Weeks was always ready to let it fly throughout the showcase, especially when coming off screens and catching the ball in rhythm. His quick release made him tough to close out on, and he did a nice job staying within the offense instead of forcing shots. Weeks showed good patience, moved into open spaces and waited for the right opportunities to attack. Then he got hot and that's when defenders had a problem. Once he found his rhythm from the perimeter, the shots started falling in bunches. Weeks is definitely a shooter you better keep an eye on     Gotter showed a nice shooting touch throughout the showcase, consistently putting himself in position to make an impact from the perimeter. He did a good job taking quality shots rather than forcing the action, and his shot ready mentality kept the defense honest. Gotter stayed prepared to fire whenever the ball found him, making him a valuable floor spacer for his team. He played within the flow of the offense and showed confidence in his ability to knock down open looks. When he had his feet set and saw an opportunity, Gotter was ready to let it fly     Howell showed off a smooth shooting stroke throughout the showcase, especially with his ability to knock down threes on the move. He didn't need to be standing still to make an impact, showing confidence catching the ball in rhythm and getting his shot off while moving around the floor. That ability made him tough to track and gave the offense another weapon from the perimeter. Howell stayed active, found openings and was ready to fire when opportunities came. His shooting ability and comfort making shots on the move made him a player who could heat up quickly     Cistone brought a nice combination of shooting and feel to the showcase, using his left handed stroke to knock down threes and keep defenders stretched out. He did a great job staying active without the ball, constantly moving to find openings rather than standing around waiting for touches. Cistone also used pump fakes effectively, getting defenders to bite and creating better opportunities for himself and his teammates. He showed good awareness by drawing defenders toward him and making the right pass inside for easy opportunities. His smart, unselfish play helped keep the offense flowing     James may have been one of the biggest surprises of the showcase, making his presence felt with pure effort and a nonstop motor. He worked hard on every possession, flying around the floor and finding ways to impact the game without needing plays called for him. Then came the big moment and James knocked down a huge three to help close out a game, and the shot had an impressive high arc that made it even sweeter. His energy, toughness and willingness to compete stood out, making James a player who definitely caught our attention
