Reason for the Ranking: Top 105

It was time to revisit the Class of 2028 rankings as July wrapped and adjust to account for the player's growth or stagnation. Rankings are subjective and PrepHoops.com/Tennessee (@CourtneyHoops90 + @AndrewForce8) ranks purely upon potential and where the player will be at their basketball peak. Production factors in only when helping prove the potential is greater or lesser. Why did we rank these guys? Why are they at this spot? Take a look at several Class of 2028 prospects and learn a little about their reputation.

The following players are now ranked in the Top 105 statewide (LEFT-new rank).

#101 Elijah Foster-Phillips Elijah Foster-Phillips 6'1" | SG/CG Brentwood Academy | 2028 State TN (Brentwood Academy)

Speedy combo guard. Brentwood Academy is absolutely loaded with guards, so Elijah will need to claw for minutes. Based on his June it seems like Foster-Phillips will play quite a bit regardless. The team will center around senior star point guard Bryson Wade Bryson Wade 6'0" | PG Brentwood Academy | 2027 State TN and junior forward James Humphreys James Humphreys 6'8" | PF/C Brentwood Academy | 2028 State TN . Then come the batallion of competent and athletic guards. Elijah will give the team outside shooting. He can dribble a bit, but the composition of the team appears unlikely to ask much of him in that capacity. Elijah is tall enough to guard either guard position in high school. The challenge for him is 'can he commit to defense every possession?' The roster of BA is now full of experienced players. Especially because Bryson Wade Bryson Wade 6'0" | PG Brentwood Academy | 2027 State TN is graduating in the spring this season will include extra urgency.

#102 Eli Peters Eli Peters 6'5" | SF Oak Ridge | 2028 State TN (Oak Ridge)

Adept passer. Eli Peters must improve his quickness long-term. Shooting and passing are his best skills currently. Peters projects as a small college wing.

#103 Aiden Amonett Aiden Amonett 6'4" | SG/PG Rockwood | 2028 State TN (Rockwood)

Johnson University offered Aiden Amonett Aiden Amonett 6'4" | SG/PG Rockwood | 2028 State TN late in the month of July. Aiden is an interesting player in that he stands 6-foot-4 with some considerable perimeter skills at the ready. Amonett started and starred for FBC Reign 16u throughout the AAU season. The association with that program really was great from Aiden's perspective because they played him in his favored position and let him make decisions on the fly. This revealed his capacity for playing guard with nice guard height. Areas for improvement include quickness, lateral mobility, and shooting off of the dribble. Improving his perimeter defense will help him climb in rankings, but more importantly improve his college options.

#104 Elijah Porter Elijah Porter 6'4" | C Rhea County | 2028 State TN (Rhea County)

Elijah Porter Elijah Porter 6'4" | C Rhea County | 2028 State TN is a strong dude. Earlier in his high school career he played as a center. We need a new evaluation ASAP to see if Elijah can play wing, which is mandatory for his basketball future beyond high school. That or he must grow 4". Porter plays both soccer and basketball for Rhea County.

#105 Miles Comparato Miles Comparato 6'2" | SG Knoxville Halls | 2028 State TN (Knoxville Halls)

Miles Comparato Miles Comparato 6'2" | SG Knoxville Halls | 2028 State TN shoots the ball quite well. His ability to knock down outside shots presents a lot of problems for high school defenders. Good guard height. Walters State Community College offered Miles as August 2026 opened. The lower body balance of Miles really establishes an exceptional base, a launchpad for the liftoff. Even when he arrives speedily at his spot the tall guard still raises up vertically. Not leaning or drifting. The technique and consistency of his form is exciting.
