Prospects Moving Up In Our Updated 2029 Rankings

Our <a href="https://prephoops.com/georgia/rankings/2029-rankings/">Updated 2029 Rankings</a> have expanded to include 125 players in the sophomore class. Camps, showcases and tournaments during June and July provided plenty of opportunties for our staff to evaluate prospects from around the state. Here is a closer look at a handful of prospects that made some of the biggest moves up the board.    Young is a combo forward with versatility that moved up 32 spots in our updated 2029 rankigns. The sophomore is an active, athletic, hard playing forward who can score in the paint and also has the ability to step out and play on the perimeter. He is a capable midrange shot maker and can put the ball on the floor and attack the paint. Young is active on the glass and can guard multiple positions on the defensive end of the floor.     The sophomore had a strong finish to the summer with AOT and moved into the Top 50 of our updated rankings. Johnson is a talented, skilled, scoring wing with positional size. He is a reliable shot maker from beyond the arc and can score at all three levels. The Houston County product has good strength and is athletic enough to finish above the rim. He is certainly a wing prospect to track in the 2029 recruiting class.     Another frontcourt prospect that moved into our Top 50, Nix is a hard playing, prodcutive forward who can impact the game in a variety of ways. He has touch in the paint and has the ability to stretch the floor with shot making from beyond the arc. Nix is a relentless rebounder at both ends, runs the floor well and plays with a motor that never stops. Combine his skill with his effort and toughness, and you have an intriguing college prospect in the 2029 class.     Alexander has made the move to McEachern for his sophomore season after a solid freshman campaign at Creekside. The 6'5 wing has size, length, athleticism and a high motor. He is at his best attacking the rim off the dribble and playing in transition, but his perimeter skill set continues to improve with each evaluation.     McCallum had a productive summer with both Redan and the [program_tooltip program_id='2433307' first='Atlanta' last='Celtics'], establishing himself as a capable scorer on the wing. He is effective in the midrange, where he can create space and knock down shots off the bounce. McCallum also has the ability to be a secondary ball handler and playmaker. He has good quickness and strength and earned his move 30 spots up our updated rankings.
