It's time to take a look at some of the notable newcomers to the rankings for New England's Class of 2028!

45 prospects made their first appearance in the rankings in this update, including the highest ranked newcomer, Masters Academy International's [player_tooltip player_id='2273134' first='Braxton' last='Bogard']. A 6'9" forward, Bogard is a nationally ranked prospect that poses as a matchup nightmare for opponents with his athleticism, agility, and versatility as a scorer.

Here are five more prospects that made their way into the rankings in this update:

Sanu, a guard out of Portsmouth High School in New Hampshire, makes his first appearance in the rankings at #23 overall. The #5 ranked point guard, Sanu shined on the travel circuit this summer for the Mass Rivals, asserting himself as one of the top scorers in the 3SSB. He's a creative ball-handler, scores it in a variety of ways in the paint, and does a nice job of knocking down tough jumpers in the mid-range. He can operate on or off the ball, giving him even more versatility on the offensive end of the floor. Defensively, he guards both back-court spots and does a nice job of creating steals and deflections with his quickness. He should be one of the top players in the NHIAA this winter.

Nicol, a guard out of Ellington High School in Connecticut, makes his first appearance in the rankings at #31 overall. The #7 ranked shooting guard, Nicol has terrific positional size and combines that with plus athleticism and an impressive feel for the game offensive to serve as a problem for opposing defenses. He scores the ball at all three levels, using his length to finish over size in the paint and showing the ability to consistently knock down jumpers from behind the arc, while also operating as a creator with the ball in his hands. Defensively, he has a ton of versatility with his length and mobility and does a nice job of making his presence felt on the glass.

Hutchison, a guard out of the St. Thomas More School in Connecticut, makes his first appearance in the rankings at #70 overall. The #16 ranked combo guard, Hutchison is a big guard (6'6") that has shown a good feel for the game as an off ball mover and cutter. He's consistently shot ready on the catch and has deep range on his jumper. He has a big frame and is a solid athlete, both of which allow him to impact games as a scorer around the rim. On the other end of the floor, he's able to guard on the ball or on the wing and also makes an impact on the glass with his size and length.

Linkletter, a wing out of Madison Area Memorial High School in Maine, makes his first appearance in the rankings at #103 overall. The #23 ranked small forward, Linkletter spent the summer establishing himself as not only one of the top perimeter shooters in Maine, but in New England. The 6'3" wing has a compact and quick release on his jumper, does a nice job of using shot fakes to create space, and is really good moving without the basketball. He has nice length and is a solid athlete, both of which should play well as he continues to expand his offensive arsenal. Defensively, he can guard any perimeter spot and shows quick feet when defending on the ball.

Goldberg, a guard out of the Westminster School in Connecticut, makes his first appearance in the rankings at #116 overall. The #22 ranked shooting guard, Goldberg is a 6'4" guard with a good frame, shows the ability to score inside and out, and is a fluid mover in space. He does a nice job of timing up his cuts and shows good instincts as a mover without the basketball. He's proven to be a high level shooter in catch and shoot situations, but also has begun to score with touch around the rim and over size. Defensively, he knows how to play angles and uses his length to make an impact in passing lanes.

Rankings coverage for the Class of 2028 will continue later this week with a look at the stock risers!
