July AAU Recap - Top Performers (I)

<p>To recap July, here are some of the top AAU performers from Oregon. Included in the write-ups are highlight videos from a specific tournament, attached to the player's social media account. We want to spotlight the players whose stock has risen while playing for their respective club team and some fresh faces who could make an impact this coming winter for their high school.</p>    <p class="text-gray-700">Boulware is a talented young combo guard entering his sophomore season. He stood out with his quick first step, solid ball-handling ability, and confidence attacking the basket. He consistently pushed the pace, led his team in transition, and was not afraid to absorb contact when finishing at the rim. At The Battle in Seattle, Lemon showcased his ability to create offense for both himself and his teammates while also knocking down spot-up shots. He embraced competition, never backed down from a challenge, and set the tone as a floor general. Defensively, he's a high-level on-ball defender who consistently pressures opposing guards. Lemon averaged 17 points, six rebounds, and four assists per game during the tournament.</p>   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-x wp-block-embed-x"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/LemonCarte34777/status/2074241259410206832?s=20 </div></figure>     <p>One of the top guards in Oregon's talented 2027 class, Thompson continued to prove why he's regarded so highly with an impressive showing at The Battle in Seattle. The smooth point guard excelled at leading in transition, making the right reads, and keeping his team organized on offense. A high-IQ floor general, Thompson consistently found open teammates and was especially effective operating in the pick-and-roll. He also displayed his ability as a high-level perimeter shooter. A hard worker who plays the game the right way, Thompson averaged 13 points, four rebounds, and five assists per game during the tournament.</p>   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-x wp-block-embed-x"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/Elijah_T4/status/2074553234786852999?s=20 </div></figure>     <p class="text-gray-700">One of the more underrated guards in the Portland area, Jackson is coming off a second-team all-league season and is poised to lead the Demos in what should be another competitive PIL campaign. At EYCL Session 2, he impressed with his versatility, quickness, and relentless motor. Jackson consistently got downhill, creating paint touches and finishing at the rim with ease. Defensively, he showed active hands and the ability to disrupt opposing ball handlers.
