The 2030 class has yet to play a varsity game, but that won't stop them from making an impact on the hardwood this season. Here are the 2030 Group 4 guard prospects to track this winter.    Fraser is one of the shiftiest guard prospects in the class, which he should put on display this season. The 5'10 guard has a tight handle, which he uses to blow by his defender off the bounce and finishes in a variety of ways around the rim. Fraser has a nice touch on his floater and has a good release on his jumper. He is an underrated passer and slides his feet on the defensive end. Fraser is a talented guard prospect who should make plays with the ball in his hands throughout the course of the season.     Patterson is one of the more intriguing prospects in the class with his combination of size, length and athleticism. The 6'4 guard attacks the basket with a purpose as he finishes strong above the rim and is able to draw contact in the paint. Patterson rises up with confidence on his jumper and moves well without the ball in his hands. He is an underrated passer and has the length to defend multiple positions on the floor. Patterson is a lanky guard prospect who should make plays at both ends of the floor throughout the course of the season.     Grundy has the ability to play either spot on the perimeter, which will help his game throughout the course of the season. The 6'1 wing has a good first step, which he uses to get to the rim off the bounce and is unafraid of drawing contact. Grundy moves well without the ball in his hands, freeing himself for open layups and jumpers in the half court. He rarely forces shots in the half court and works hard on the defensive end. Grundy is a gritty guard prospect who will impact the game at both ends of the floor during the winter months.     Ratuszniak has the potential to play either guard spot, which he should put on display this season. The 5'9 guard has a solid handle, which he uses to get to the rim off the bounce and finishes well around the rim. Ratuszniak can also score in the mid-range and moves well without the ball in his hands. He is an underrated passer and gets deflections on the defensive end. Ratuszniak is a tough guard prospect who should stretch the floor and defend the ball is something that will help his stock rise over the course of his debut varsity season.     Grundy will have the ball in his hands this season, which will help his development in a big way. The 6'0 guard plays with composure on the ball as he rarely gets rattled by on-ball pressure and threads passes to his open teammates. Grundy has a good touch on his floater and makes opponents pay for giving him space behind the arc. He can also play off the ball and is a tough on-ball defender. Grundy's ability to run the offense smoothly is something that will help Montgomery win games throughout the 2026-27 season.
