2028 Rankings Update: Stock Risers Part 2

Saxton is a tough defender who can play on or off the ball at the grassroots level. It's impressive to see Saxton go from a primary creator at the high school level as he's the engine behind a much improved Grove City team and required to generate shots for himself and teammates to a complimentary piece at the 3SSB level surrounded by other top talents in the state of Ohio. Small guards will always be quested by coaches and myself but Saxton is lightning quick on both ends of the court and most importantly competes defensively. Williams is a shifty on ball point guard who can create his own look and operate in the pick and roll. When Garfield Heights has been at their best it has been because of their defensive pressure and ability to turn teams over with their speed and athleticism. I expect a lot of trapping and pressure from the Bulldogs guards with Williams taking on tough assignments against other top guards to try and shut them down. Davis finished third on the Lancers in scoring last season and third in the GCL-South in steals. Defensively is where Davis has the most upside as his length, quick feet and quick twitch athleticism makes him an impact defender across the perimeter. Davis will need to improve offensively, especially as a shooter this season. Asberry is a talented scorer who plays well off the catch, plays on balance off two feet and can make shots on the perimeter. Euclid had a strong first season with new head coach Quentin Rogers and I expect even better results this winter with Asberry in his third season playing under Coach Q. Expect the Panthers to be one of the highest scoring teams in northeast Ohio with a lot of guard talent, headlined by Asberry.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
