School is in.

So let the countdown to the 2026-27 season begin.

There's a good amount of talent in the 2028 class. Many of them are expected to have successful seasons.

Here are a handful of prospects that will have a positive impact in 2026:

[player_tooltip player_id='2869497' first='Lucas' last='Graves'], Brentwood Academy: Graves could have a high 3-point shooting percentage by season's end. It's because of how well he can shoot it. Graves is a 6-foot-4 shooting guard that's going to space the floor and open things up for senior point guard [player_tooltip player_id='2133797' first='Bryson' last='Wade'] and junior big man [player_tooltip player_id='2543986' first='James' last='Humphreys']. A lot of attention will be on Wade and Humphreys, so that's going to give Graves easy looks from the perimeter. Now everyone isn't familiar with how well he can shoot it. Also, Graves isn't just a spot-up shooter. He can create off the dribble. The Eagles should score a lot of points in 2026, and Graves will contribute on a nightly basis.

[player_tooltip player_id='2523934' first='Carter' last='Smith'], Notre Dame: Smith is an athletic wing that plays with a high motor. He knows how to finish at the rim. Smith loves to get out in transition. He can either knock down a transition 3 or bend the rim with force. Smith is a reliable ball handler, so he will come in handy if he has to make a play. Coming from Boyd-Buchanan, he's joining a Fighting Irish team that has a proven coach in Reggie Tucker. The roster features a promising sophomore in [player_tooltip player_id='3651684' first='Dunnie' last='Knight'], and two junior guards in [player_tooltip player_id='2851450' first='Charlie' last='Simmons'] and Landon Caldwell. Smith should blend in well and help Notre Dame be a legit threat in the competitive TSSAA Division II Class AA.

[player_tooltip player_id='2508422' first='Bo' last='Maxwell'], Cookeville: Maxwell's role with the Cavaliers this season will be huge after the program lost their top two scorers - [player_tooltip player_id='2575799' first='Walker' last='Redding'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2570869' first='Jalen' last='Denk'] - from last season. Maxwell will be up for the challenge. He's coming off a sophomore season averaging 10.9 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 3.6 assists for a Cookeville program that won 20 games. Maxwell is a small guard (5-8) that plays big. He's a big contributor. His 2026 season won't be any different.

[player_tooltip player_id='3549172' first='Schuyler' last='Huck'], Knoxville Webb: The Spartans lost a talented senior class that went 30-3 last season. Huck will be asked to contribute more this upcoming season. He has played solid minutes as a backup. Stepping into a starting role means that Huck's production will need to increase. One thing is for certain: He can make shots in an offense that caters to guards that can let it rain.

[player_tooltip player_id='2734126' first='Cannon' last='Swift'], Tennessee: Swift is one of the most talented guards in the class. He plays with good pace, shoots it well, and knows how to get to his spots. Swift is a walking double-digit scorer. That was on display last season. Swift should be a double-digit scorer once again in 2026.

School is in.
