About Cannon

What's your biggest strength as a player, and how does it show up in games?

My biggest strength is my motor. I play hard every possession, and it shows up in how I defend, rebound, and make hustle plays. I also impact games by scoring—getting downhill, finishing through contact, and knocking down open shots. I try to be a leader too, by talking on defense, keeping my teammates locked in, and bringing energy that lifts everyone. It all helps me affect the game

What are you working to improve right now?

My biggest focus right now is improving my off‑the‑dribble three‑point shooting so I can create more scoring opportunities and be a tougher matchup. I’m also working on my transition defense — sprinting back, stopping the ball early, and taking away easy points. I’m trying to grow as a leader too by communicating more and keeping my teammates locked in. Every day I’m working to sharpen my skills.

What are you looking for in a college program?

I’m looking for a college program that believes in player development and will help me grow on and off the court. I want a coaching staff that pushes me, holds me accountable, and values toughness, defense, and playing hard. I’m open to D2, D3, NAIA, and JUCO — anywhere I can compete, get better, and be part of a winning culture. I’m looking for a program where I fit the system and can compete.

Outside of your sport, what should coaches know about you?

Outside of basketball, coaches should know I’m a hard worker and a good teammate in everything I do. I take school seriously, I’m responsible, and I try to treat people with respect. I’m the kind of person who shows up on time, does things the right way, and stays consistent. I care about improving myself, staying disciplined, and being someone people can count on.

What do you want to study, and what career interests you?

I want to study nursing because I like helping people and I’m interested in the medical field. I’m drawn to a career where I can make a real impact, stay calm under pressure, and take care of others. Nursing fits who I am — hardworking, dependable, and focused — and it’s something I can see myself doing long‑term.
