Looking forward to the next high school season, let's take a look at some of the top returning players to the east side of the state. I've picked out 12 players that represent a mix of the top players from last year, as well as some talented younger players who could be ready to break out into big roles. Take a look at these 12 players and then cast your vote on who you think will be the top player in Eastern Washington next season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1685500' first='Karson' last='Maze']

Maze is the reigning 3A/4A GSL MVP and an easy pick to top the league again next season. He averaged 22.6 points, 3.6 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 2.7 steals per game last season and led Mead to some wins against solid competition. He's a bursty guard who can score in a hurry and provides some excellent two-way impact to lead the way.

[player_tooltip player_id='2140850' first='Orland' last='Axton']

Central Valley is a team to look out for who brings back some serious senior firepower. Axton is one of the main guys who will lead the Bears next season. He's a versatile wing who can score inside and out, provide some extra playmaking, and should be in store for a big senior season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2140806' first='Cameron' last='Walls']

Another Central Valley Bear in contention for the top Eastern Washington player next season, Walls is a smooth operator who does a great job controlling pace and balancing out getting buckets with getting his teammates involved.

[player_tooltip player_id='3569892' first='Kendry' last='Gimlin']

Gimlin was the leading scorer last season among all 2A GSL players and he's a kid who was just scratching the surface last season. At 6-foot-5, he has the height and skills to play and score from different spots on the floor. A smooth shooter, he has also shown more and more willingness to finish above the rim and attack the paint with strength.

[player_tooltip player_id='2835543' first='Angus' last='Gehn']

The biggest player on this list, at 6-foot-8, Gehn has some size and power that will be hard to match for a lot of teams he'll face next season. Plays with a legit motor and continues to show some pretty impressive athleticism and physical tools in the front court.

[player_tooltip player_id='2847364' first='Tysen' last='Lewis']

From one athletic big man to another, Lewis is one of the more athletic players you will find in Washington and his ability to play above the rim shows up in a lot of ways. He's another kid who matches his big athleticism with an even bigger motor, making him an outstanding rebounder on both ends, high-flying finisher, and solid rim defender.

[player_tooltip player_id='2716621' first='Cole' last='Floyd']

From one style to another, Floyd isn't necessarily a high-flyer front court player, but he is one of the most skilled forwards on the east side of the state. At 6-foot-7, he has excellent touch to put the ball in the basket from different levels. He's also been looking stronger operating in the post and around bodies, as well as showcasing some great footwork inside.

[player_tooltip player_id='2375341' first='Cade' last='Rogers']

Rogers is a pretty unique wing player who can score with his size and ability to handle the ball under pressure, but he's also a key playmaker and set-up man for Pullman. He's got the creativity and skills to be a stat sheet filler next season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2935305' first='Kelan' last='Moore']

One of those players I mentioned in the lede who has some high potential and will be thrust into a bigger role this winter. Has unique size for his role and skill set, and will be tasked with a little bit of scoring, creating, and point duties.

[player_tooltip player_id='2674683' first='Nathan' last='Zettle']

Zettle is a kid who plays a pretty solid all around game. Can play with pace, or slow things down and work in the half court. Another really balanced guard who can score from each level but has some outstanding vision and creativity to pick out teammates.

[player_tooltip player_id='2628464' first='Veer' last='Nagra']

Nagra is probably the most unproven player on this list, sitting behind a deep and talented group of upperclassmen over the past two years. But he has the size and skills on the wings to step up and be a key piece for the Bullpups this winter. Can knock down the outside shot, has been stronger working off the dribble, and shown some promise as a creator with his ability to see over the defense.

[player_tooltip player_id='2399478' first='Isaac' last='Williams']

A sneaky player out of North Central, Williams was a first-team all-league selection last season and has shown he has the dual-threat ability to be a scorer and passer. Has decent size as a 6-foot-3 point guard and has athleticism at that size that makes him an interesting player on the east side.

Now, let us know who you think will be Eastern Washington's top dog next season?

https://poll.fm/17256546
