We recently updated our 2029 class rankings, and in my 10 years of working for Prep Hoops VA this one is looking like it could be very special. With 75 players ranked currently, we take a look at part two of the prospects in the Northern VA area.

#23) Christian Towe | 6'1” PG | Hayfield

Towe had a great freshman season for Hayfield, as he came in immediately and showed he can score it with the best of them, and he's doing that this summer as well even playing 17U. The 6'1” lead guard is shifty off the bounce with great balance when he creates separation to get into his shot, he can really shoot it from deep with effortless range and a quick release, he can score it in bunches when he gets it going, and he can make plays for others as well.

#24) Jalen Farrell | 6'2” CG | Osbourn Park

Farrell was one of the top young players in the NOVA area this past year, earning All District honors and continuing to impress this summer with DC Assault as well. The 6'2” combo is a shifty playmaker who can easily beat defenders off the bounce and get in the paint at will, he scores it from all three levels with the ability to create off the bounce, he can work off the ball and make shots off the catch and off the move, and he can make plays for others as well.

#39) DJ Harper | 6'5” SF | Gillion Academy

Harper is one of the more intriguing prospects in the DMV in this class, as he already has great positional size and athleticism to go along with a budding skillset too. The 6'5” wing has a great frame already and shows good athleticism on both ends of the floor, he can play above the rim and is a big time threat in transition, he is a good defender both on and off the ball, and his perimeter skillset is already at a point where you can see the upside of him on the offensive end.

#42) Kenny W. Robinson III | 6'5” CG | St. Stephen's St. Agnes

Robinson is another intriguing long term prospect, as he broke out this summer at DMV Live where he showed flashes of brilliance and what he can be moving forward. At 6'5” he has great positional size and his ability to handle the ball at that size is impressive, he gets downhill well and is a good finisher and decision maker, he can score it from multiple levels off the catch or off the bounce, and his defensive versatility on the perimeter is very impressive.

#45) Matt Womack | 5'9” PG | Bishop Ireton

Womack was impressive during the scholastic live periods, and while he may be on the smaller side he has all the intangibles you look for in a smaller guard. The 5'9” lead guard is lightning quick off the bounce with the ability to change speeds and blow by defenders. He can touch the paint at will and makes great reads, he picks his spots and scores it when he needs to, and he is a super pesky on ball defender as well.

#46) Dominic Laws | 6'1” PG | Langley

Laws had a good freshman season for Langley, and he's really impressed so far this summer with Virginia Elite as one of their top two way impact guys. The 6'1” guard has a good frame and can use his strength to bump and create space, he moves well off the ball and has a burner from deep with extended range, he can create for himself and others off the bounce, and he brings a lot of toughness and energy on the defensive end too.

#47) Dajon Doss | 5'8” PG | Highland

Doss is a good looking young prospect who is behind two division one seniors at Highland, but that could bold well for him moving forward as he continues to learn and develop from them. While he isn't the biggest player the 5'9” lead guard is quick and shifty with good change of pace with the ball in his hands, he does a good job reading defenses when he gets in the paint and he can finish over bigger defenders, and he is capable and willing to pick up full court and make ball handlers uncomfortable.

#50) Paul Ballistere | 6'0” PG | Langley

Ballistere was another impressive freshman for Langley this past season, and he's only continuing to get better and more confident as time passes. The 6'0” guard has a good IQ as a playmaker and handles pressure well with the ball in his hands, he can move off the ball and flat out light it up from deep, he is good in ball screens with the ability to recognize and attack mismatches, and he is already a good athlete who is likely still growing into his body.
