UAA Session 3: 16U Mid-Atlantic Guards

He also manipulated defenders with his eyes and ball fake, then zipped the ball to whoever was open. But his team needed him to score and he did so from deep. He attacked on-the-go with cuts off-ball and in transition. Costley also hunted misses on both ends, whether he was getting a putback or grabbing a defensive board and going coast-to-coast. With speed and quickness off the dribble, he raced past primary and help defenders before spraying the ball around to shooters or hitting guys inside with pocket passes. He cranked up the tempo on fastbreaks too. His sense of urgency enabled him to find and exploit cracks in the defense, including the occasional rim attempt for himself. Jones filled it up from beyond the arc too. He knocked down pull-up treys and some catch-and-shoots too. When he didn't automatically turn the corner on drives, he played off two feet and initiated contact with defenders to create the angles necessary to score. Williams Jr got to different spots at the second level as well, hitting shots from the elbow and mid-post.
