Over the next couple of weekends there will still be some events taking place including the GRBA Nationals this weekend in Fort Wayne which we will have boots on the ground coverage of as always. However, with the conclusion of the summer live periods many programs have gone ahead and shut things down. As the grassroots season begins to wind down let's start to take a bigger picture look at what we learned from April through July. We will begin our "recap" coverage here with some potentially lesser known names who played well this summer and improved their stock.

There is never a shortage of backcourt talent at Lawrence North High School and that is certainly true once again right now. However, Cunningham was a name that stood out for the Wildcats at the Charlie Hughes Showcase in June. His quickness with the ball in his hands and his ability to consistently get into the paint off of the bounce made his a viable playmaker in the backcourt. He is athletic enough to rise up and finish at the end of his drives as well. Look for him to play a role in LN's backcourt as a senior and be a solid under-the-radar prospect to follow.

Hoop Club 17u quietly had a ton of success throughout the summer. They went down to Florida and won a championship in early July and backed it up with a strong run in the New Balance E32 tournament. Whether it was as a playmaker for Hoop Club or his high school team at Boonville, we were impressed with this 6'0" guard this summer. He is a very good athlete and shot the ball very well as a junior finishing the year 33-73 (45.2%) from three-point range. Boonville will have a talented backcourt this season and Egli should enter his senior season with a lot of confidence after a successful summer.

There is a level of consistent production with Garner that continues to be intriguing. He is always a top performer with Indiana Reign Supreme at our Prep Hoops events and is the go-to option for South Putnam High School. The 6'3" guard is a good three-point shooter, very capable as a secondary playmaker with the ball in his hands, and has a sneaky pop of athleticism that he utilizes at the end of his drives. Garner is also a very good passer when he isn't looking to score.

Goins was a valuable rotation piece on Parke Heritage's Class 2A State Championship team as a junior. Now, he has quickly showcased his ability to step into a larger role both in the backcourt for the Wolves in June and throughout the spring and summer with Fire Basketball 17u. He is a strong, athletic guard that can get downhill and finish with both hands at the end of his drives. There is also some perimeter shooting ability that helps to keep the defense honest as well. Look for him to have a big senior year for what will once again be a good Parke Heritage team.

Sharp has consistently proven himself to be one of the best rebounders in Indiana's Class of 2029. He is a long, athletic, 6'6" forward that isn't afraid to mix it up with even bigger opponents around the basket. The proof is in the statistics when it comes to his rebounding ability. The rising sophomore at Cathedral High School averaged 7.3 rebounds per game throughout the EYBL Regular Season with [program_tooltip program_id='2076927' first='Indy' last='Heat'] 15u and then backed it up by posting 5.4 points and 6.6 rebounds per game at the Peach Jam. His ability to put up those sort of numbers against the best competition in the country is very impressive.

There is a lot to like when evaluating Skinner. He really has started to match production to his very high upside this summer. The 6'4" two-way wing has been shooting it very well from three-point range while still excelling as an athlete in transition and when attacking closeouts. Skinner has the size, physical tools, and athleticism to slide across several positions both offensively and defensively. Look for him to play big role as a senior for Gary West Side High School and continue to prove himself as an intriguing prospect in the Class of 2027.

It can be hard to really classify some of these younger prospects as "stock-risers" because we simply didn't have much of an opinion on them to begin with, but Yoder was one who really stood out when we had the opportunity to watch [program_tooltip program_id='2076451' first='D1' last='Indiana'] P32 15u in St. Louis during the first July live evaluation period. The 6'3" wing from Center Grove High School has impressive athletic tools and two-way positional versatility. He was effective around the basket as a finisher and rebounder, but also has the skill set to venture out to the perimeter as a ball handler and downhill driver. Yoder is definitely one we will continue to track closely in the rising sophomore class.
