This has been an outstanding 17u season of growth for Akan. His attack, playmaking, movement and defense have all helped the Titans be a better team than previously expected. Berrisso looks like a player that can play a solid role for the Crimson this winter.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2836765' first='Caden' last='Boschee'] of [program_tooltip program_id='2221115' first='Midwest' last='Kings'] (Bemidji). The Kings lead gaurd averaged 17 points per game last weekend including the Midwest Chargers game where Caden had 23 points. In three out of the four games Boschee hit five three pointrers and The [program_tooltip program_id='2221115' first='Midwest' last='Kings'] finished 3-1 on the weekend.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2140689' first='Sam' last='Freitag'] of Minnesota Nice (St. Clair). Sam caught my eye on Sunday knocking down a pretty touch step back jumper and then a three on his way to a near 30 point game (I had a hard time reading the box score total). Sam averaged 15 plus points a game last winter as a junior.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2417472' first='Gavin' last='Groehler'] of [program_tooltip program_id='2075672' first='Minnesota' last='Fury'] (Rochester Mayo). Gavin touched the ball four times in the paint and he scored four times in the paint. He also had another score called off because the defender pushed him before he could release the ball. Gavin has to be able to give his teammates a better passing angle but when the angle is there and he touches the ball, Gavin is like moving an industrial fridge with a touch. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2421555' first='Max' last='Hayes'] of [program_tooltip program_id='2075685' first='Minnesota' last='Select'] (St. Thomas Academy). I really liked what I saw from Max recently. His timing on everything is what really stood out. A really good passer, Hayes reads rebounds well, his help defense was to the right spots and he took the right shots. It really struck me how well Hein played within his role. We have to dive into this more as time goes on, and it will be really interesting to see the junior winter Male has, but he's a lot more explosive than I think people realize. His first step and lift to the rim have more to it than people realize and he is going to be a big number scorer this winter. When you have high school teams that play in AAU events you see players that carry their roles from the winter to the spring/summer, only it's their expanded role for the future. I thought Isaac was outstanding in his role defending well, scoring on five of six shots for double figures, grabbing five boards and moving the ball for three assists. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2826033' first='Pete' last='Tschetter'] of [program_tooltip program_id='2075674' first='Minnesota' last='Heat'] (Stewartville). Tschetter does a great job leading this group. His decision making, ball handling, team chatter both ways, and he knocks down shots when the ball comes back to him. Another JV player of Prior Lake coming to the varsity with the potential to be a shooter. Seems like every year there are two new PL upperclassmen that you have to locate and after seeing Dyland hit five threes in a game, add him to the list! </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
