Peach Jam tipped off on Tuesday with the best of the best from the EYBL circuit competing against each other and in this article I'll break down my 15 U standouts from the opening day of action.

Kozlowski willed [program_tooltip program_id='2110367' first='Utah' last='Prospects'] 15 U to a win to open up Peach Jam pool play in a thrilling battle. Kozlowski was a monster defensively with his switch ability against smaller guards and that was on display on the final stop of the game when Indy Heat tried to attack him on a switch and he forced a bad look at the rim to secure the win. Kozlowski is a strong wing who won offensively by playing through you on drives and looking for contact when he was attacking the basket. I also was impressed with the poise and decision making Kozlowski showed on Tuesday, making the right read and finishing with five assists. Only going 1/3 on 3-pointers in the game, Kozlowski knocked down arguably the biggest shot of the game with a top of the key triple in the fourth quarter. If Kozlowski can speed up his release and become confident from beyond the arc, he's going to be a monster to defend.

Our top ranked prospect in Ohio's 2029 class showed the potential of why he's so highly regarded in the Buckeye state. The young wing hit some tough shots from the perimeter with a sweet pull-up off a between the legs dribble move to free up space. Irby finished three for four from downtown and has continually improved as a perimeter shooter from around a year ago when I first watched him play. Irby's four point play was a big turning point in the game and gave Indy Heat hope after squandering a double-digit lead. While Irby did struggle with turnovers, improvements in his ball handling ability should come over time and I believe in his ability to clean those mistakes up as he continues to develop. A prospect who is making a case to enter our national 2029 rankings at first release, Irby is trending upwards as one of the younger 2029 prospects playing at Peach Jam.

One of the top shooters in Ohio, Badenhop caught fire from downtown on Tuesday afternoon and finished five for eight from 3-point range. Badenhop can hit shots off movement or as a stationary target for his teammates and his high release point allows him to make shots over hard contests at him. Badenhop had an early drive and kick assist and hit Irby on a pick and fade, but I want to see him get stronger so he can provide more rim pressure on an EYBL court. One of the top small town prospects in Ohio's 2029 class, Badenhop will debut very high in our 2029 rankings that will be updated shortly after the July live periods wrap up.

One of the most impressive athletes I watched regardless of class today, Jackson was unbelievable to watch sky through the air with monster dunks off lob plays, backdoor cuts and from the dunker spot. Jackson is quick off his feet and keeps the ball high when going up at the rim to avoid getting swiped by shorter defenders. The lefty also attempted three 3-pointers and while none connected, his form looked smooth and he was confident enough to force the defense to respect him from the perimeter. Jackson was so crucial for his team's success on Tuesday, he played all 32 minutes in the one point win.

One of the top point guards in the class of 2029 nationally, Conroy Jr is known for his skill level and scoring ability. While that was on display with some tough mid-range buckets and layups off quick dribble moves, it was the rebounding that stood out the most to me. Conroy Jr was not afraid to mix it up with taller players in the paint getting a couple putback layups and also finishing defensive stops. Defensively, Conroy Jr was tough guarding the ball and took a charge against a driving player from AB Elite. Conroy Jr has the ball in his hands for a majority of the game and while turnovers will happen when you handle the ball as much as he does, there were a couple he'll look to get back when watching back the tape. Overall loved the competitiveness that Conroy Jr showed me as he was the reason PG Elite had a chance to win the game at the end.
