MADE Summer Live Finale: Noteworthy 2027 wings + bigs

MADE Hoops wrapped up its summer circuit with its Summer Live Finale event this past weekend in Baltimore, crowning MHC champions across all three high school age groups. See below for a handful of rising senior wings and frontcourt prospects who stood out on Sunday.    Taking home circuit MVP honors in the process of leading West Michigan Premier to a 17U MHC championship, Armstrong was unsurprisingly a popular name among D1 coaches in attendance at MADE events throughout the month. Coming from the midwest to take on a circuit of primarily Northeast and Mid Atlantic talent, the smooth wing guard had no issue making a name for himself and reeling in offers at the same time. In Sunday's championship game, he was effective working off-ball to shake into open space and punish whatever seam the defense presented. Armstrong was at his best working off screens before catching on the perimeter and working his way into clean midrange pullups or slithery finishes at the rim. He showed a promising blend of immediate plug-and-play utility to go with intriguing long-term upside if he's able to more consistently expand his range out to the arc.     With a cadre of D2 schools on his trail as a member of the class of 2026, Masoud has now opted to pursue a post-grad year and looks ready to burst onto D1 radars as a 2027. Watching from a court over, we were consistently enthralled by Masoud's wide-ranging offensive arsenal. A constant mismatch at either forward spot, he was able to work inside and out, looking to be at his most comfortable when catching on the wing before surveying the floor and pragmatically breaking down his matchup. Masoud is quicker and more explosive than he looks while operating off the bounce, particularly since opposing forwards have to run out at him out of respect for his perimeter jumper. We'll look to see more of the finer points of Masoud's floor game as he pursues a post-grad year at The Post Grad Sports Academy in his native Florida.     An incoming post-grad by way of Florida, Hoffman continued to establish a name for himself within the region while capping off a strong summer with his talented ALLBALL group. Hoffman impressed with his well-rounded plug-and-play skillset to go with elite size for the wing. At the expense of sounding cliché, he simply knows how to play, constantly working into the right spots on the floor to accumulate production and impact winning without needing his number called. Hoffman was efficient as an individual scorer, thriving off of cuts, putbacks, and clean catch-and-shoot 3s. That time of timely and efficient production at his size makes it easy to see why D1 programs have Hoffman squarely on their boards, especially when paired with his strong academic profile.     Despite a hard-fought loss in the championship game, Prizzi showed he could step up when it mattered most and moved the needle in an otherwise ugly all-around game. Coming in off the bench as both a backup '5' and as part of two-big alignments, he was effective clearing space in the middle against a team that lacked a true interior presence. Prizzi was key in helping establish some momentum for Honor in a sluggish offensive outing, getting his team going with emphatic plays above the rim off dumpoffs and putbacks. The New York product mostly sticks to his strengths and while he may not be the most versatile of big men, he continues to take steps forward in his ability to flourish in his role, with scholarship-level programs in need of frontcourt depth wisely beginning to take notice.     It's been customary to spot Cohn over the years, particularly as the token big on sneaker circuit rosters that weren't necessarily optimized toward showcasing his strengths. Making the move to an independent platform like MADE for his final AAU stretch proved to be a wise move, as Cohn was able to play a consistent role and win fans among a litany of D1 programs in attendance. Helping squeeze out a Sunday morning win to close out the season, Cohn was effective using his towering size to make plays around the rim on both ends of the floor. He showed solid hands and swift feet as a finisher in traffic, whether from a stationary position working the baseline or catching on the move on rolls to the rim. He's a natural deterrent inside as a rim protector and was consistent in rebounding his area effectively. With his sheer size and blossoming two-way impact, Cohn is garnering interest from all across the D1 spectrum heading into his senior year.
