GBCA brought out a strong group of prospects, but a few players found ways to separate themselves from the pack. Whether it was shot-making, playmaking, defensive activity, physical tools, or simply competing with purpose, these prospects made their presence felt and gave evaluators something to remember. This article highlights the players who stole the show and made a strong case to be tracked moving forward…

Daylan is a small guard who showed scoring and playmaking impact. His ability to make reads, create for others, and stretch the floor gives him a usable role because he can impact the game with or without the ball in his hands. The three-ball is an important piece of his game as when he is shot-ready and punishing loss assignments, defenders have to stay attached, and that opens up driving lanes and passing windows for his teammates.

He is lead guard with vision and passing feel along with enough shiftiness to create separation and be a creator off the bounce.

Jevon is a combo guard who can put pressure on the game in multiple ways. He has off guard value with the ball in his hands because he can make reads, create for others, stretch the floor, and attack space. He is more than just a spot-up shooter as he uses his gravity from behind the arc to play off the bounce, get downhill, and use his quickness to get to his spots. His playmaking makes him interesting as when he is playing with pace and not rushing the read, he create advantages for himself and teammates.

Landon is an off-guard with touch in the in-between game. The midrange is the first thing that caught my eye in how he impacts the game offensively. He showed that he could settle into the middle of the floor and make a controlled shot, instead of over dribbling like many of his peers. He does a good job not allowing defenders to speed him into tough attempts. He has size that could be a two-way factor once the season gets going.

I have watched Anthony grow his game since all the way back to when he was in the 6th grade if I am not mistaken. He has developed into a backcourt talent who blends scoring pressure and playmaking instincts. He has offensive versatility as he can stretch the floor, punish space, attack the paint, and show touch in the in-between game. He is very good at slashing his way through the defense when the lane is there, and he makes sounds decisions by making the simple pass when help commits, and avoid turning a good advantage into a forced possession. He is really good at creating offense in different ways.

Jordan is a wing with positional size who impacted games with his play in the mid-range. He proved he can work around the glass, make plays at the rim, and still showed enough touch to be useful away from the rim. He is still young so improving his consistency and having role clarity will help him as he continues his journey. He showed a lot of promise defensively as he finished possessions with rebounds, contested shots, and gave multiple efforts.

Jeffrey is a lead guard with a solid PG IQ and showed his understanding of how to fit into a role. He showed his two way impact through playmaking, defensive activity, and his ability to be solid on both ends. He doesn't need to dominate the ball to help winning as he can make reads, move the ball, and bring enough engagement to keep the offense fluid. He did a good job managing pace, reading the second defender, and creating for others. He has a mature floor game with role discipline and two-way reliability.
