Friday brought another full slate of high-level competition at the adidas 3SSB Palmetto Road Championships, giving South Carolina prospects another opportunity to shine against elite talent. These five in-state standouts continued to build their stock with strong performances that caught the attention of college coaches and evaluators.

Leading off Friday's In-State Standouts list is [player_tooltip player_id='1982890' first='Colt' last='Fowler']. Fowler stepped up when the Stars needed him on day two, helping them pick up their second bracket-play win and advance to the quarter-final. Colt's stat sheet was stacked, posting 26 points, 7 assists, and 6 rebounds. His ability to constantly get to the paint off the dribble and masterfully work the pick-and-roll was most important for Upward, plus when the game got tight late, he was excellent at the free-throw line. This week is an important week for Colt from a recruiting standpoint, but Upward Stars have a real shot at the Palmetto Road Championship because of the way he is playing.

[program_tooltip program_id='2078752' first='Upward' last='Stars SE']'s 16U shooter had a big second day. He went 4-5 from three in game one, followed by 3-6 from three in game two. JJ was hot all day long, but he came out scorching in the day's opener, setting the tone against a talented opponent in Anthony Edwards Five with a solid amount of college coaches on the baseline. Gray is more than just a standstill shooter; he knocked down perimeter looks from designed actions, in transition, and off cuts.

Bryson has slowly become more comfortable with his new team this month, and Friday night was his best game yet. He posted a 12-point, 11-rebound double-double in a win over Slow Grind Elite. Schofield is one of the most athletic bigs we have in the Palmetto State, which makes him an excellent finisher around the rim, a lob threat, and a shot-blocker. His big frame also allows him to keep opponents out of the paint and off the glass, so when he puts all the pieces together, he is a very effective player.

Even though they won their game on day one, it was a much-improved day two for Upward Stars 15U. Kellen was one of their guys who looked the best on Friday, going for 12 points on 4-7 3FG. Leverett is one of the top catch-and-shoot guards in South Carolina's 2029 class, so he will always be effective without the ball. However, he looked excellent as a lead guard in their win over ABC Young Lions, racking up 5 assists to go with the knockdown shooting. If Kellen can master the feel and become a dominant on-ball playmaker, he could really become a great guard.

Rounding out Friday's best from 3SSB Palmetto Road is [player_tooltip player_id='2887707' first='Ty' last='Young']. Young has had some good moments for the Stars over the course of his 15U season, including an 11-point, 3-rebound, and 3-assist performance on Friday. Despite not knocking down a three, the threat of Ty's outside shot still created driving lanes. He drove the ball well himself, showing a well-rounded scoring ability with a baseline floater and a mid-range pull-up. The offensive skill is clearly there with Young, so it will be interesting to see how he develops over the fall and fits in with some new pieces at Chris Church in the winter.
