The 3 day event was jam packed with tons of top level talent in the state of Illinois. Prospects had the chance to compete in front of college coaches and see what their games were made of. The forward possesses true length and mobility as a rim running 4 man. The team is deeply talented but he fits the mold and fluidity of its' style and pace. He converted multiple times from the short corner or low block areas with solid footwork. He also fights for location underneath and earns his keep. In transition phase he helps generate opportunities with steady hands and feet that compliment. Childs showed a polish interior game. His package included finishing inside on tough and in high volume traffic situations. He also displayed poise and body control around the rim while embracing contact. I liked the way he demonstrated a confident and composed approach while also rim running with intention in a high up tempo style game. On the scoring end he continued to utilize that length with an alley oop slam and another 2 handed flush on the break. Hester serves as an athletic wing that thrives in transition while attacking the basket with intention. He runs the floor hard and will fight through contact to draw whistles. Made a crafty baseline take utilizing length to convert. Can go inside and out with shot making ability from 3 as well. Splashed home one in the ½ court setting and another going full speed in transition. Defensively will impact because he is able to guard multi positions from the interior to the perimeter.
