Warwick Workouts Elite Camp: Day 1 Standouts

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><a href="https://prephoops.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2026/06/20260617_151237.jpg"><img src="https://prephoops.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2026/06/20260617_151237.jpg?w=1024" alt="" class="wp-image-3673714" /></a></figure>      Mitch is D1 athlete and it shows when hes on the court as he uses that athleticism to get to the basket for buckets/create for teammates/rebound or just flat out 🔐 his man up on defense. Was able to get to his spot on the floor almost at will at times. I knew he could shoot from deep but was pleasantly surprised at his middy pull-up game as he had that rolling during day 1 of camp. Showed nice court vision also which is a part of his game not talked about enough.     Top player in the class of 2028 SD and showed why its gonna be very difficult to take that spot away from him. At 6'9 his ballhandling skills are next level along with the ability to shoot the three ball at a high percentage and a power post up game when hes inside which makes him a nightmare to matchup against. Has a great feel for the game and is a willing passer who sees the plays develop early.     Do it all big thats also smart and unselfish. Carter showed nice and consistent ability to step out and shoot the three ball when open and contested. Showed a toughness around the basket finishing through contact on a regular basis and with both hands. Like how he runs the floor hard every play and competes each possession.     Strong guard at 6'0 with quick feet and hands defensively. Hard slasher and very difficult to stop once he gets going down hill. Liked how he was able to finish at the rim with both hands and with some creativity. Has nice shake n bake to his game, pull-up j looks great leaving his hands. Was on 🔥 from the land of 3 on day 1. Plays the game with a nice edge and competitiveness to it. Consistently showed excellent court vision, was very good in transition.     Lefty was a problem to guard, had great change of pace and a nice crossover that got his defender off balance often for easy buckets and layups. Not just a slasher he shot the ball very well both days and from all over the floor. Showed nice footwork and ability to play off of two feet in the paint. Sneaky good defender was a pick pocket on day 1 in 1vs1 drills.     Jack shot the ball better then I anticipated from deep (pleasant surprise) and shows he works hard on his all-round game. One of the strongest player's at camp and it showed at times on both ends of the floor. Offensively when he wanted to score in the post it didn't matter who was guarding him he scored. Defensively i didn't see the same player score on him twice in a row (i really like that) as he takes pride on that end. Loved how hes able to guard the smaller guards at times on switches because of his athleticism and length. He was a rebounding demon on both ends for all of camp, powerful hands.     Plays with and edge and toughness but also very skilled. Plays solid defense keeps offensive player infront of him and makes him work for everything. Has great size and strength for a guard. Consistently made tough contested shots. Showed great range on several of his threes. Has very good ballhandling skills and handles on ball pressure with little to no problem, change of pace is excellent. High IQ player and reads the floor very well and sees mismatches before most others did.     Big man with big game! Powerful low post player with small forward skills shooting the ball. Had great touch in and around the basket, nice footwork on several post ups. Mini hook shots from the paint area were $! Stepped out and shot the 3 ball well at times and looked good and comfortable from that range!
