We recently updated our 2028 class rankings in Virginia, adding over 25 names in a class that continues to get better it seems like every day. Here's a look at part one of the guards and wings from the Hampton Roads area.

#10) Rashad Shaw | 6'2” CG | Landstown

Shaw was a huge reason for Landstown's run to the state championship this past year, and with their best player already transferred out he's in the drivers seat to be the best player in Hampton Roads this next year. He's an elite level athlete who thrives in transition and when he gets downhill to play above the rim, he is strong and physical on both ends of the floor, he can score the ball in a number of different ways, and he is an excellent rebounder and defender for his size and position.

#42) Daevon Reed | 5'11” PG | Maury

Reed had a breakout season at Maury this past year, and he's looking like he's only going to continue to get better with time as he grows and continues to develop. He is a shifty and strong guard who can break down defenders and get in the paint where he's a good finisher, he can create space and make shots from all three levels, he pressures the ball well defensively, and he's able to impact the game in a lot of different ways.

#45) Marc Johnson | 6'0” CG | Lake Taylor

Johnson was a big part of Lake Taylor's run to the Class 3 State Championship game last year, and he's going to have an even bigger season with the departure of some of their top players. The 6'0” combo is a knock down shooter from deep with good range off the catch and off the bounce, he's very good in transition as both a playmaker and scorer, he has great instincts on both ends of the floor, and he finds ways to impact winning in a lot of different roles.

#75) Leyton Harrington | 6'5” SF | Cape Henry

Harrington is having a great summer running with Team Loaded 757, and he's emerging as a prospect for coaches to watch heading into his junior year. The 6'5” wing has great positional size and is a good athlete when he gets out in the open floor, he can really knock it down from deep and doesn't need a ton of space to get his shot off, he can put it on the deck and get to his spots, and he can make plays for others as well.

#76) Grant Rohner | 6'4” SF | Catholic

Rohner is another up and coming prospect for coaches to check out in the 757 area, as he's shown a lot of improvement and will be a big part of a talented Catholic team for the next few years. The 6'4” wing has good size and uses angles well in the midrange and when he gets downhill, he can knock down open shots from deep, he isn't afraid to get physical, and he has a good IQ as a playmaker too.
